Dear Clerk of the City/San Mateo City Council,
I neglected to put my parcel number on my previous email. It is: . I repeat my message below.
I write to object to the proposed increase in the trash rates. I oppose the increase because it is too much money.
I suggest that the City find a new contractor who will charge less. Or, those who have more trash could pay more: I find that I don't even use half of my bins each week. It is outrageous to pay as much as we do now merely for trash pick up (after we sort it for the trash company).
Or just throw it all in the landfill. I am tired of the continual increases in costs. Why does the City Council never act to benefit homeowners in the city?
