Hello, City Council Members,
I see that you will be discussing potential policy options for electronic billboards. Please accept my “NO” vote on that.
I assume revenue is part of the intention here. But the billboards are a huge distraction to drivers, who are already distracted by phones, car touchscreens and buttons, avoiding other distracted drivers, etc. I think the electronic billboards are even worse than the old static ones, as the eye is tempted to watch until the next colorful, moving image appears.
Plus they are an eyesore. I hope you are not considering installing these ads in places other than the freeway.
