BACKGROUND:

The City of San Mateo is implementing a Fellowship Program on a pilot basis. The purpose of this program is to provide talented individuals who have earned an undergraduate or postgraduate degree with the opportunity to gain in-depth meaningful experience with the City of San Mateo while making a positive impact in our community. The Fellowship Program is designed to attract more individuals into the public sector, provide professional development opportunities to help individuals grow as local government leaders, build pipelines for City jobs, and diversify the City’s applicant pool.
