CITY OF SAN MATEO
RESOLUTION NO. ____ (2026)
ACCEPTING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR 2655, 2755, 2800, AND 2988 CAMPUS DRIVE WHEREAS, on February 6, 2023, the City Council approved the Subdivision Improvement Agreement for 2655 and 2755 Campus Drive (Peninsula Heights South) and authorized the Public Works Director to sign the agreement; and
WHEREAS, on April 7, 2025, the City Council approved the Subdivision Improvement Agreement for 2800 and 2988 Campus Drive (Peninsula Heights North) and authorized the Public Works Director to sign the agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Subdivision Improvement Agreements addressed various public improvements and surety bonds required as conditions of approval for the project and tentative parcel map approved under PA- 2020-012; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has verified that all planning application conditions of approval and public improvements have been satisfactorily completed; and WHEREAS, the subdivider has provided maintenance bonds to secure the performance of work for one year as required by Section 14 of the subdivision improvement agreements; and WHEREAS, Public Works staff recommend formal acceptance of those improvements and release of the associated surety bonds.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA, HEREBY RESOLVES that:
1. Accepting public improvements is not a project subject to CEQA because it is an organizational or administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment. (CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(5).)
2. The public improvements related to the Subdivision Improvement Agreement for 2655 and 2755 Campus Drive dated April 27, 2023, between the City of San Mateo and 2655 CAMPUS POP OWNER, LLC and 2755 CAMPUS POP OWNER, LLC are accepted.
3. The public improvements related to the Subdivision Improvement Agreement for 2800 and 2988 Campus Drive dated April 9, 2025, between the City of San Mateo and 2800 CAMPUS POP OWNER, LLC and 2988 CAMPUS POP OWNER, LLC are accepted.
4. The Public Works Director is authorized to release the surety bonds associated with the subdivision improvement agreements.
