CITY OF SAN MATEO
RESOLUTION NO. ____ (2026)
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR ADDITIONAL TASKS RELATED TO THE HISTORIC POLICY UPDATE PROJECT WHEREAS, on January 21, 2025, the City Council approved a contract with Rincon Consultants, Inc. to provide technical historic policy support services to support the Historic Policy Update project for an amount of $328,743 (“Project”); and
WHEREAS, based on City Council direction to prioritize an update to the San Mateo 1989 Historic Building Survey Report as part of the Historic Policy Update public hearing on May 4, 2026, an additional appropriation of [Option 1: $168,687] or [Option 2: $140,584] is necessary to cover additional tasks, technical evaluations and community outreach to support the Survey update.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA, HEREBY RESOLVES that:
1. This fund appropriation is not a project of CEQA because it is an organizational or administrative activity that will not impact the environment (CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(5).
2. The appropriation of [Option 1: $168,687] or [Option 2: $140,584] from the Advance Planning Fund (Fund 225) to the to the Historic Policy Update project is approved.
