CITY OF SAN MATEO
RESOLUTION NO. ____ (2026)
APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO AUTHORIZED POSITIONS AND PER DIEM EXPENDITURES IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FY2026-2027 BUDGET
WHEREAS, pursuant to San Mateo Municipal Code Section 2.57.030(d), the addition of positions must be approved by City Council Resolution; and
WHEREAS, Section 5.13(a) of the City Charter requires City Council approval by resolution for supplemental appropriations to the City’s budget; and
WHEREAS, the basis of the proposed changes is fully detailed in the accompanying administrative report.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA, HEREBY RESOLVES that:
1. This action is not a project subject to CEQA, because it is an organizational or administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment. (CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(5).)
2. The addition of 1.00 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) Management Analyst I/II position is approved.
3. The funding for this additional position shall be achieved by amending the Police Department’s adopted 2026-2027 as shown below:
