Dear Matt:

My name is Penny Chuah and I am writing to you from the Culinary Academy at Contra Costa College. Thank you for always being such a big support to our program. Angel Chau no longer works with our team and as the current representative, I will be following up on the sponsorship and donations correspondence.

Please allow us to share a big announcement!! The Culinary Academy at Contra Costa College will be hosting its Thirteenth Annual Food and Wine Event at CCC’s Aqua Terra Grill and Fireside Hall on Sunday, April 24, 2022. I would like to ask you to contribute to the event once again by participating as a vendor, sponsor, or donor.

The Culinary Academy at Contra Costa College is one of several financially independent vocational programs at the College committed to educating students. Monies raised by the Food and Wine Event provide additional funding necessary for our comprehensive program of study. Some of the funds raised are specially designated for culinary scholarships to study abroad. Past fundraising efforts provided scholarships that allowed ten students to travel to Italy for a two-week culinary instructional experience. Students traveled to various regions of Italy to learn about its history and culture while also having daily opportunities to engage in hands-on cooking experiences.

Your participation in this year’s Food and Wine Event will greatly affect the quality of our student's educational experiences. Your contribution will provide many of our students with new opportunities that will benefit their education, training, and employment potential.

For your convenience, I have enclosed additional documents on the Food and Wine Event which includes the Sponsorship/Donation Form and information on how you can participate as a vendor or make a donation. I appreciate any donation you can provide to support our students in their educational and culinary training endeavors. If you have questions or would like to make arrangements for a VIP table at the event, please contact me. [email protected] ,
510-215-3878.

Thank you!

Yours sincerely,
Penny Chuah
