event, the CIty Manager seeks City
Council authorization by majority vote
via Resolution to consider a potential
amendment to the Council Priority
Workplan, as follows:

Policy #118: “City of San Pablo
75th Anniversary Celebration (April
27, 2023)”

Promotional
Activities
A Temporary Ad-Hoc SubCommitee would
coordinate with City Manager and
designated staff to determine a number of
celebratory events, program and
promotional activities in preparation for the
City’s 75th Anniversary Celebration,
including but not limited to the following:
1) Purchase of City of San Pablo
“SWAG” denoting 75th Anniversary
of Incorporation date; and
2) Community Event Planning (TBD);
and
3) Program Activities and Community
Promotions (TBD)

Recommendation:
City Council action by majority vote via Resolution would enable the following:
1. The FY 2021-23 City Council Priority Workplan is
hereby amended by adding the following:
MAJOR POLICY AREA: BUILD A HEALTHY
COMMUNITY
Add/New Policy Item #118: “City of San Pablo 75th
Anniversary Celebration (April 27, 2023)”
2. The City Council acknowledges a program expense
budget of $50,000 for the anniversary celebration
funded from the FY 2022-23 City Manager Contingency
Reserve.
3. The City Council affirms the Mayor’s
recommendation of assigning Mayor Xavier and Vice
Mayor Pineda to this Temporary Ad-Hoc Subcommittee
for a specific time period, effective August 1, 2022
through December 31, 2022, in accordance with SPMC
Section 2.16.070 requirements.
