Subject: Contruction at 2555 El Portal Drive
Dear San Pablo City Council
I’m a resident of San Pablo and live in the Rancho San Pablo Condo complex next to the construction site at 2555 El Portal Drive.
When construction started, my neighbors and I noticed that our homes would shake when the bulldozer would break up the concrete. Many residents reported that it felt like a bunch of mini earth quakes. We reached out to the city and were
told that bulldozer work would be temporary and would be over in short amount of time. We were told this back in July and our homes and still shaking every time construction crew break the concrete. Today, Sept 2nd, between the hours of 9am ‐ 2:30 the construction shook my home. This is becoming a nuisance and extremely frustrating. In addition, the continuous shaking is most likely causing foundation damage to our homes.
I’m reaching out to the city council to make you aware of the issues residents are experiencing and also to make you aware of the potential damage to our f
oundations and financial hardship this will cause to me and other homeowners in the area.
I look forward to your reply.
Best regards,
