Yesterday was Labor Day when we celebrated our working people and the contributions our Unions have made to provide working people a decent standard of living.
I happened to be cleaning out my back junk room while listening to Labor Day rhetoric by various politicians. Among the junk was a lot of cheap mostly plastic stuff San Pablo has given away at various gatherings which will now add to our landfill. All of it was made in China.
I urge the City Council to begin supporting our working people and our Unions by directing the City to stop buying cheap items from China and other countries to distribute to our children and citizens and clog our landfills. Instead buy only American made item’s preferably made by unionized workers and supporting our working class.
The City Council can and should pass such a resolution and I urge you to do so to show your support for American Workers.
