Mayor Xavier and members of the City Council:
I have several comments on the survey.
1. The demographics of the survey respondents seems to not reflect our actual population of San Pablo. Of special concern is that 72% have no school age children. The survey respondents in general seem older, wealthier and with more education than San Pablo res
idents in general. Over half have lived here more than 25 years and almost three quarters are homeowners.
2. I resent being called a “happy camper” as the term is demeaning and indicates that the surveyors see the citizens as children that can be pacified with some ca ndy.
3. This view of the population as easily pacified is further expressed when Dr. Manross suggests rather than dealing with the issues of concern of its citizens that the City increase their public relations to convince us the problems do not exist.
