Post-Collection Rate
Post-collection rate increased due to many factors
including:
the downturn in recycling market
SB 1383 compliance activities
New contamination charge due to change in law
The RecycleMore Board approved the rates on
November 10th
The increase equates to 2.6% for a 35 gallon
customer
Collection Rate Analysis
Franchise Agreement allows for periodic
rate analyses
RSS submitted a rate application proposing
a 2.61% increase to collection service rates
Staff released a Request for Proposal and
selected R3 Consulting Group Inc
Review Methodology
Agreement does not specify methodology for
adjusting Base Year rates
R3 applied methodologies consistent with past
practice
