DIRECTED SPENDING REQUEST FOR THE CITY OF SAN PABLO
Dear Congressman Garamendi:
On behalf of the San Pablo City Council, I am writing to express my sincere thank you for recommending a federal earmark request in the amount of $3M for support for the City of San Pablo Avenue Bridge Replacement and Intersection R ealignment Project for the Fiscal Year 2024 Federal Appropriations process.
This critical project is one of three (3) community priority projects that will help support our socio and economically -disadvantaged community, its residents and provide the publ ic with local transportation improvement opportuni ty. T his project will bring significant community benefit, both locally and regionally.
We are extremely grateful for your consideration as this marks a significant point in our City’s history in being considered for a federal earmark request for one of our City projects for this upcoming federal fiscal year 2023-24 funding cycle.
The City knows that you have a number of worthwhile federal funding requests submitted each year from local cities and counti es in your Congressional 8 th District, and your stalwart
reputation at championing those funding requests each federal funding cycle to benefit the entire Northern CA region.
