RESOLUTION 2023-####
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN PABLO AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH KARLA’S JANITORIAL AND SUPPLIERS, LLC. FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR CITYWIDE BUILDING FACILITIES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $223,772 PER YEAR, AND A TOTAL AUTHORIZATION AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,118,860 OVER THE FIVE- YEAR TERM
WHEREAS, the City of San Pablo requires Janitorial Services for all City building facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City has solicited public bids for janitorial services in conformance with the Request for Proposal (RFP), and on June 1, 2023, six (6) sealed bids were received and opened as follows; and

WHEREAS, the RFP stated that to the City would select the best qualified proposer and not necessarily the lowest bidder; and
WHEREAS, the City Staff performed a thorough review and evaluation of the proposals, qualifications and references, and recommends Karla’s Janitorial and Suppliers, LLC, San Francisco, California, with a bid in the amount of $223,772 per year; and
WHEREAS, the proposed resolution authorizes the City Manager to enter into a 5-year agreement with Karla’s Janitorial and Suppliers, LLC; and

WHEREAS, funding in the amount of $223,772 for services in Fiscal Year 2023/24 is available from the adopted Fiscal Year 2023/24 Public Works Property Maintenance Operating Budget (100-3410-43600) and Street Lighting and Landscape Assessment District (SL&LAD) (237-3610-43600); and
WHEREAS, funding for the remaining four years will be subject to future budget approval by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Pablo hereby awards the janitorial services contract to Karla’s Janitorial and Suppliers, LLC and authorizes the City Manager to execute a five (5) year agreement with Karla’s Janitorial and Suppliers, LLC in an amount not to exceed Dollars ($1,118,660) as follows:.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funding for FY 2023/24 for this janitorial services agreement shall be apportioned from FY 2023/24 Public Works Operating budget and Street Lighting and Landscape Assessment District budget for professional services as follows.
