RESOLUTION 2023-###
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN PABLO AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AMENDED EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT WITH CITY MANAGER MATT RODRIGUEZ EFFECTIVE JULY 17, 2023
WHEREAS, the City of San Pablo City Manager, Raymond M. ( Matt) Rodriguez, is an at-will contract employee whose terms and conditions of employment are governed by an employment agreement (Employment Agreement);
WHEREAS, the City Manager employment agreement betwe en Matt Rodriguez and the City of San Pablo, effective May 3, 2010, was most recently amended on June 20, 2023, pursuant to Resolution 2023-105.
WHEREAS, the City Manager Employment Agreement as amended June 20, 2023, erroneously omitted a perambulatory clause describing a prior amendment dated March 21, 2022, pursuant to City Council Resolution 2022-048;
WHEREAS, the parties to the City Manager Employment Agreement wish to further amend that Agreement to add the erroneously omitted clause outlining th e prior amendment of March 21, 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Pablo hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute an amended employment agreement with City Manager Matt Rodriguez effective July 17, 2023, to correct an error in the preamble of the prior amended employment agreement effective June 20, 2023.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy that amendment employment agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit 1.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the foregoing recitations are true and correct and are included herein by reference as findings.
