FIRST AMENDMENT TO LEGAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF SAN PABLO AND LIEBERT CASSIDY WHITMORE
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR LEGAL SERVICES
BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN PABLO AND LIEBERT CASSIDY WHITMORE is effective this 3rd day of October, 2023, by and between the CITY OF SAN PABLO, a municipal corporation ("City") and Liebert Cassidy Whitmore (“Counsel”).
R E C I T A L S
WHEREAS, effective July 1, 2023, CITY and Consultant entered into an Agreement for legal services in the areas of labor negotiations and employment law (“Agreement”); and
WHEREAS, the parties have agreed to modify the terms of that Agreement related to Compensation;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PARTIES DO MUTUALLY AGREE AS FOLLOWS:
1. COMPENSATION. Section 2 of the Agreement, “Compensation,” is amended to include the following provision:
“For services rendered at the hourly rates specified in Counsel’s Fee Schedule attached as Exhibit A to the Agreement of July 1, 2023, CITY shall pay Consultant up to an additional Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000), for a total compensation under this contract, as amended, not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000).“
2. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
