RE: LETTER OF SUPPORT FOR CITY OF SAN PABLO / CCTA INTEGRATED OPEN
DATA PLATFORM FOR MULTIMODAL ACCESSIBLE TRANSPORTATION
On behalf of the San Pablo City Council, I am providing this letter of support for the City’s Community Services Department (CSD). Our CSD provides a door-to-door transportation service to disabled adults and anyone age 50 and older Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. The City of San Pablo (City) is committed to working with Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) on the project of Integrated Open Data Platform for Multimodal Accessible Transportation. This project aligns with the strategic priorities of CCTA and our City.
In order to achieve the project goal, the City commits to the following:
• The City intends to participate in the discussion of system framework design by providing the transportation needs and experiences of the population our agency serves.
• The City supports the project team by maintaining regular communication, providing historical operation data, relevant guidance and documents, and feedback from the target customers.
• The City will reach out to disadvantaged communities to promote the use and improvement of the project's outcome.
By actively participating in the project, the City ensures the transportation needs, experiences, and gaps of the disadvantaged communities are accounted for, making the project more comprehensive and inclusive. Additionally, our City’s engagement in contributing data resources to the open platform will demonstrate the transparency and public nature of the project. Our continuous participation from the prototyping to deployment stages has the potential to generate best practices as it encourages all small paratransit agencies to actively participate and collaborate.
