Request to waive fees for the Winter / Spring 2024 season On October 27, 2023, Andre Williams, President of the San Pablo Baseball Association (SPBA), submitted a letter to the City of San Pablo requesting the waiver of fees for Davis Park Multi-Use and Mini Sports Fields and the Davis Park Concession.

• Saturday & Sunday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

PURPOSE/BACKGROUND
• SPBA offers a diverse baseball program that provides approximately 100 San Pablo youth the ability to travel to numerous cities and compete against various baseball programs.
• Non-profit partner Peacemakers Inc.,
• Peacemakers Inc’s 501(c)(3) status is in good standing • All insurance certificates are current
• Once SPBA registration has closed and final rosters have been received, staff will review and report the residency findings to the City Manager.
FIELD FEE WAIVER REQUEST

Total waiver of rental fees: $24,610
$50 application fee not eligible for fee waiver
Conditions of fee waiver:
• Have a representative participate in at least two major City events • Provide City of San Pablo residents a reduced registration rate compared to non-residents
• A majority of participants registered in SPBA’s 2024 Winter/Spring season program must be City of San Pablo residents.
Staff is seeking a recommendation that the CSD Standing Committee support this item and make a recommendation to City Council for formal consideration.
