RE: RE-APPOINTMENT TO SPEDC BOARD OF DIRECTORS (2-YEAR TERM)
On November 2, 2023, SPEDC Executive Director Leslay Choy notified me of your current 2-year term on the SPEDC Board will expire at end of January 2024 (See Attachment and email below).
The City Council will be formally considering appointment of this impending vacancy at the upcoming 12/18/23 regular City Council Meeting, and once approved by majority vote, will submit their nominee to the SPEDC Board for affirmation vote.
You are eligible to continue to serve in this capacity for another 2-year term (February 2024 – January 2026) per current SPEDC By-laws requirements.
Please formally indicate if you are interested in being formally considered for re-appointment to the SPEDC Board vacancy, and I will prepare the necessary action before the City Council on 12/18/23. I will need a formal response from you for the public record.
NOTE: You will need to recuse yourself from this agenda item when it is formally considered by the City Council on 12/18/23.
