RESOLUTION 2023-###
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN PABLO APPROVING THE CITY OF SAN PABLO SLOGAN “TEAMWORK SAN PABLO 202 4 – THE YEAR OF REVITALIZATION” FOR THE JANUARY TO DECEMBER 2024 PERIOD
WHEREAS, Promote Civic Engagement and Awareness in all City Programs/Services is a Major Policy Goal contained in the FY 2023-25 Council Priority Workplan, effective May 1, 2023;
WHEREAS, in 2012, an annual slogan was instituted for the City of San Pablo as an organization to promote community pride and civic engagement;
WHEREAS, the slogan is part of an overall integrated organizational plan to promote cooperation and teamwork in the City of San Pablo organization and in the community, and to underscore the importance of professional development, management and leadership in the organization;
WHEREAS, the top three “The Year of” slogan choices for 2024 were developed by the City’s Executive Leadership Group (ELG);
WHEREAS, s ubsequently all C ity staff were invited to participate in an online survey, followed by a community survey via social media for voting. The results overall are as follows:
1. 2024 Year of Revitalization, 38 votes
2. 2024 Year of Building Community, 36 votes
3. 2024 Year of Belonging, 15 votes
WHEREAS, the slogan for 2024 will be selected by the City Council and will be promoted at City Hall and in the community during the January through December 2024 period; and
WHEREAS, the expense to print appropriate banners and marketing items can be accommodated within the existing City Manager’s budget and no new funds are required at this time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Pablo hereby approves “Teamwork San Pablo 2024 – The Year of Revitalization” as the slogan for the 2024 calendar year.
