RESOLUTION 2024-____
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN PABLO DIRECTING PREPARATION AND FILING OF THE ENGINEER ’S REPORT FOR THE LEVY OF ANNUAL ASSESSMENTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 202 4/25 FOR SAN PABLO STREET LIGHTING AND LANDSCAPE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1982-1
WHEREAS, Street Lighting and Landscape Assessment District No. 1982- 1 provides funding for service and maintenance of street lighting, landscaping, parks and public facilities, including City Hall and the Senior Center;
WHEREAS, an Engineer’s Report is required pursuant to the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 for continuation of the San Pablo Street Lighting and Landscape Assessment District No. 1982-1 for Fiscal Year 2024/25;
WHEREAS, each year, the City of San Pablo (City) is required to have an Engineer’s Report prepared and filed with Contra Costa County in order to collect assessments;
WHEREAS, in FY 2024/25, new improvements or substantial changes include:
• Street light improvements (replace street lights atop signal lights to LED lights to save energy and improve safety)
• Replace baseball infields
• Repair playing surface of Rumrill Sports Park
• Construction of McNeil Park
• Construction of Bush Pocket Park
• Replace HVAC at Senior Center
• Replace roof at Community Center
• Replace missing light poles for safety of the public
• Median improvements
• Street tree maintenance/trimming
WHEREAS, this resolution provides direction to initiate preparation of the Engineer’s Report for Fiscal Year 2024/25.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Pablo herby directs preparation of an Engineer’s Report for San Pablo Street Lighting and Landscape Assessment District No. 1982-1 for Fiscal Year 2024 /25 in accordance with Article 4 (commencing with Section 22565) of Chapter 1 of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 and Proposition 218; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the foregoing recitations are true and correct and are included herein by reference as findings.
