RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN PABLO 1) SCHEDULING A SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 1, 2024 FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO REVIEW THE PROPOSED FY 2024/25 – FY 2026/27 TRIENNIAL OPERATING BUDGET AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN (CIP) BUDGET, 2) CANCELLING THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON JUNE 3, 2024, AND 4) SCHEDULING A SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON JUNE 10, 2024.
WHEREAS, Continue Fiscal Resilience, Fiscal Excellence and Fiscal Transparency is a City Council priority under City of San Pablo City Council Priority Work Plan FY 2023-25, effective May 1, 2023; and
WHEREAS, in compliance with San Pablo Municipal Code Sections 3.04.240 and
3.04.250, this report sets a public hearing on the Triennial FY 2025-2027 General Fund (GF) Operating Budget and the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Budget at a special City Council meeting for May 1, 2024 at 5:00p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the public hearing will be duly noticed and will provide key information that will allow the City Council and members of the public to understand the proposed Triennial FY 2025-2027 GF Operating and CIP budgets; and
WHEREAS, due to the multi-year preparation of the City’s Triennial FY 2025-2027 Triennial GF Operating Budget and operational impacts on the City organization, the City Manager is recommending cancelling the regularly scheduled June 3, 2024 City Council meeting and scheduling a Special City Council meeting on June 10, 2024 at 6:00p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommendation would enable the City to manage operational impacts associated with multi -year budget development, preparing for scheduled public hearings, and overall agenda coordination and management practices during the month of May 2024, and to effectively manage agenda planning efforts for the month of June 2024.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the foregoing recitations are true and correct, and are included herein by reference as findings;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that City Council of the City of San Pablo authorizes the scheduling of a Special City Council Meeting on May 1, 2024 at 5:00p.m.;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that City Council of the City of San Pablo sets the public hearing for the Triennial FY 2025-2027 GF Operating and CIP budgets for May 1, 2024, pursuant to San Pablo Municipal Code Sections 3.04.240 and 3.04.250;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that City Council of the City of San Pablo

authorizes the cancellation of the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on June 3, 2024; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that City Council of the City of San Pablo authorizes the scheduling of a Special City Council Meeting on June 10, 2024 at 6:00p.m..
