Hi Matt,
I hope this message finds you well. Following our conversation last week, I am writing to formalize the discussion regarding Chef Nader’s distinguished contribution to the Contra Costa College Culinary Arts Scholarship Program. This summer, Chef Nader will lead the final group of students to a once-in-a-lifetime culinary studies in Italy, marking his last year of involvement with the CCC Culinary Arts program.
It is with great respect and admiration for Chef Nader’s accomplishments that we extend an invitation for you, the Council members and the Mayor of the City of San Pablo or a designated representative to present a proclamation or resolution acknowledging Chef Nader's significant contributions to both the college and the wider San Pablo community. This presentation is scheduled to take place at the forthcoming Food & Wine Tasting Event on April 21st, an occasion that garners significant attendance from residents and businesses within the county and beyond. Additionally, the event will serve as a platform to announce this year’s scholarship recipients bound for Italy.
Penny Chua, copied here, is assistant to Chef Nader and will provide the necessary documentation, including his biography and list of achievements, to facilitate the preparation of the proclamation or resolution.
Given that the event is scheduled for Sunday, April 21st, we kindly request that the proclamation/resolution be prepared a few days in advance. Alternatively, please inform us if it will be brought to the event by you or your representative on the day. In keeping with the spirit of the occasion, the presentation will be a highlight of the program, unbeknownst to Chef Nader.
To ensure everything is seamlessly coordinated, could you please confirm with Penny that you will need all the input no later than April 10th so that the council members and the Mayor can approve the proclamation at their April 15th session? Also please let Penny know the identity of the presenter(s) to allow us to arrange complimentary event tickets for pickup at will-call.
We believe this tribute to Chef Nader’s legacy at the CCC and his impact on our community will be a memorable part of the Food & Wine Tasting Event. Thank you for considering this request. We look forward to your participation in celebrating Chef Nader’s remarkable career and contributions.
