Sky Elements Background
The City desires to continue to engage with a professional consultant, Sky Elements, to provide a drone show for our annual 4th of July Multi-Cultural Celebration.
Sky Elements provided the drone show for the 2023, 4th of July Multi-Cultural Celebration which was well received by those in attendance. Last year’s drone show had 100 drones and cost the City $40,000
Staff is seeking to secure a multi-year contract with Sky Elements and would receive more drones for the same annual price.
3 – year contractual commitment
1. 2023 4th of July, Number of drones in the display: 100 / Cost $40,000
2. 2024 4th of July, Number of drones in the display: 150 / Cost $40,000
3. 2025 4th of July, Number of drones in the display: 175 / Cost $40,000
4. 2026 4th of July, Number of drones in the display: 200 / Cost $40,000
5. By committing to a 3-year contract, the price is locked in $40,000 annually, $120,000. Funding will be part of the annual adopted budget. Please note staff is always looking for annual sponsorship to help offset the cost of the event.
