RESOLUTION 2024-###
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN PABLO AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A NEW AGREEMENT WITH LIEBERT CASSIDY
WHITMORE FOR LEGAL S ERVICES IN THE AREAS OF LABOR NEGOTIATIO NS AND EMPLOYMENT LAW I N AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $240,0 00 OVER TWO (2) FISCAL YEARS, EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2024
WHEREAS, Liebert Cassidy Whitmore (LCW) has been providing specialized legal services to the City in the areas of labor negotiation and employment law for over thirty years, and LCW counsel are very knowledgeable about the City’s history with regard to labor and employment issues; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to engage LCW in a new legal services agreement effective July 1, 2024, using funds budgeted for these services in the Ci ty Manager’s Professional Services budget, account 100 -1310-43600) in the amount of $120,000 as budgeted for FY 2024-25 and $120,000 as budgeted for FY2025-26.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Pablo hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a new agreement with Liebert Cassidy Whitmore for legal services in the areas of labor negotiations and employment law in an amount not to exceed $240,000 over two (2) fiscal years, effective July 1, 2024.
BE IT FURTHER RE SOLVED that the foregoing recitations are true and correct and are included herein by reference as findings.
