RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN PABLO AUTHORIZING AN EVENT SPONSORSHIP OF $ 10,000 FOR THE 2 1st ANNUAL LYTTON CASINO
GOLF TOURNAMENT AND FUNDRAISER TO BENEFIT LIFELONG MEDICAL CARE ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2024
WHEREAS, Build a Healthy Community : Support LifeLong Medical Care, Inc. in Providing Enhanced Medical Services are adopted policy items contained in the FY 2023-25 City Council Priority Work plan, effective May 1, 2023;
WHEREAS, this proposed action is not a project as defined by CEQA;
WHEREAS, the City Manager’s Office received an invitation from the Lytton Casino and LifeLong Medical Care announcing the 202 4 San Pablo Lytton Casino Annual Golf Tournament and Fundraiser Event to benefit LifeLong Medical Care scheduled on Monday, September 9, 2024 at the Richmond Country Club Golf Course in Richmond, California;
WHEREAS, the Lytton Casino solicits corporate sponsors for this annual event, and through this resolution, the City of San Pablo would pledge its support for a $ 10,000 corporate sponsorship; and
WHEREAS, LifeLong Medical Care is dedicated to ensuring that everyone regardless of their ability to pay, has access to high- quality health and social services in Contra Costa, Alameda and Marin County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Pablo hereby pledges its support for a $ 10,000 corporate sponsorship for the Annual Lytton Casino Golf Tournament and Fundraiser to benefit LifeLong Medical Center on Monday, September 9, 2024 at the Richmond Country Club Golf Course in Richmond, California; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , that the sponsorship in the amount of $5,000 wi ll be deducted from the Special Event Sponsorships budget which will leave a remaining balance of $25,000 in FY 2024-25 for future sponsorships approved by the City Council.
The remaining $5,000 of the sponsorship will be deducted from the FY 2024- 25 C ity Manager’s Operating Reserve (Fund: 190).
