Franchise Fee Study
• In 2024 a Franchise Fee Study was completed to
analyze:
– The City’s costs for performing regulatory compliance, enforcement, solid waste collection, and contract
administration.
– The results of the study determined:
• The City’s current and projected franchise fee revenues do not exceed the City’s reasonable costs charges.
• The recommendation to adjust the franchise fee from 10% to 15% of collection service revenues is supported by the results of the Study.
