RESOLUTION 2024-###
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN PABLO APPROVING THE CITY’S PROPERTY INVENTORY OF LEASED AND OWNED PROPERTIES PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 50569
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 50569 requires that on or before December 31st of each year, the City of San Pablo (the “City”) make an inv entory of all real property it holds, owns, or controls;
WHEREAS, the City must determine which property, if any, is in excess of its foreseeable needs;
WHEREAS, the statute provides that any citizen, limited dividend corporation, housing corporation, or nonprofit corporation, shall upon request, be provided with a list of the properties without charge;
WHEREAS, the statute further provides that a description of each parcel found to be in excess of its needs should be made a matter of public record;
WHEREAS, an inventory of all the properties owned by the City is set forth in Exhibit A with a description of its current use or foreseeable use; and
WHEREAS, this action is not a project as defined by CEQA under CEQA Guidelines Section 15378 which states that a “project” does not include organizational or administrative activities of governments that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Pablo hereby approves the City’s property inventory of leased and owned land pursuant to Government Code Section 50569, as set forth in Exhibit A, and determines that no additional property is “surplus” or in excess of its foreseeable use; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the foregoing recitations are true and correct, and are included herein by reference as findings.
