RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN PABLO AMENDING THE PART-TIME SALARY SCHEDULE OF THE CITY’S CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 202 5 TO COMPLY WITH NEW
CALIFORNIA MINIMUM WAGE REQUIREMENTS
WHEREAS, The City Council adopted a two -year General Fund Operating Budget on May 20, 2024 for Fiscal Year 2024-25 and Fiscal Year 2025-26;
WHEREAS, amendments to the Classification and Compensation Plan (Plan) for the following seven part-time classifications are necessary to comply with new California minimum wage requirements that take effect on January 1, 202 5, and are consistent with the City Council’s already approved budget in relation to staffing and salaries: Administrative Intern, Building Attendant, Police Cadet, Recreation Leader, Recreation Specialist, School Crossing Guard, and Student Intern;
WHEREAS, the salary adjustments to the part -time salary schedule will be effective as of January 1, 2025; and
WHEREAS, these amendments are not a project as defined by CEQA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Pablo hereby approves amendments to the City’s Classification and Compensation Plan for Fiscal Year 2024-25, as more particularly described on Exhibit A, to update the part -time salary schedule of the seven part-time classifications listed above as shown on the attached, effective January 1, 2025; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager or designee is hereby authorized to implement these changes to the Plan.
