RESOLUTION 2025-###
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN PABLO AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL FUNDING AGREEMENTS AND ANY
AMENDMENTS THERETO WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION FOR THE BROADWAY EL PORTAL SAFE ROUTE S PROJECT (CIP 0704)
WHEREAS, on March 21, 2022, pursuant to Resolution 2022-043, City Council authorized staff to apply for Caltrans’ Active Transportation Program (ATP) Cycle 6 grant for the Broadway-El Portal Safe Routes Project (“Project”);
WHEREAS, on June 15, 2022, staff submitted an application for the ATP Cycle 6 grant;
WHEREAS, on January 11, 2023, the Broadway-El Portal Safe Routes Project was approved by Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), the ATP grant administrator, for grant funding in the amount of $7,248,000;
WHEREAS, On April 17, 2023, pursuant to Resolution 2023-159, the City Council accepted the grant funding;
WHEREAS, the City of San Pablo is eligible to receive Federal and State funding for certain Transportation Projects, through the California Department of Transportation (“Caltrans”); and
WHEREAS, Program Supplemental Agreements, Fund Exchange Agreements and/or Fund Transfer Agreements need to be executed with Caltrans before such funds can be claimed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Pablo authorizes the City Manager to execute all Program Supplemental Agreements, Fund Exchange Agreements, Fund Transfer Agreements and any amendments thereto with Caltrans, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney that does not substantially alter the City of San Pablo’s rights, responsibilities, or commitments in its application for grant funding in connection with the Broadway-El Portal Safe Routes Project (CIP 0704), and reasonably necessary to effectuate the City’s receipt of the grant funding described in this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the foregoing recitations are true and correct and are included herein by reference as findings.
