RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN PABLO AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF $49,762.83 FROM THE ASSET & VEHICLE REPLACEMENT INTERNAL SERVICE FUND (ISF FUND 140) FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) 2025 TESLA MODEL 3
WHEREAS, Strengthen Existing and New Technology Programs, Public Facility/Infrastructure Projects, and Future Workplace Development Programs/Services To Enhance SPPD Crime -Reduction Goals, Community Policing, Mental Health, and Training Programs is an adopted policy item under the FY 2023-25 City Council Priority Workplan, adopted May 1, 2023;
WHEREAS, the Information Technology (IT) Division previously shared a vehicle with the Community Development Department but now requires a dedicated vehicle to meet operational demands, transport equipment, and ensure timely responses to support needs at off-site locations;
WHEREAS, the City has purchased a 2025 Tesla Model 3 in order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the IT Division in fulfilling its responsibilities across multiple city sites; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that the purchase of the vehicle be funded from the Asset & Vehicle Replacement Internal Service Fund (ISF Fund 140) so that it will not have any additional fiscal impact on the General Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Pablo hereby authorizes the appropriation of funds from the Asset & Vehicle Replacement Internal Service Fund (ISF Fund 140) to complete the above-referenced purchase; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the foregoing recitations are true and correct, and are included herein by reference as findings.
