Dear City Council Members,
On behalf of the San Pablo United Youth Soccer Club (SPUYSC), I respectfully submit this request for a waiver of fees associated with the use of Rumrill Fields 1, 2, and 3 from July 1 through December 30, 2026, for our Fall Season. This support is essential to ensuring that youth sports remain affordable and accessible to families in San Pablo.
SPUYSC is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization dedicated to serving the youth of San Pablo. Our program provides a safe and inclusive environment in which children may remain active, build confidence, and strengthen their connection to the community, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.
With the City’s support, we are able to sponsor 10 to 15 players each season, many of whom come from lower-income households, and to provide opportunities for our teams to compete at a high level.
We sincerely appreciate the City’s continued partnership in helping us sustain this program for the families who benefit from it most.
As many families continue to experience financial pressure and uncertainty, access to affordable youth programs remains especially important. Approval of this fee waiver would enable SPUYSC to continue providing a stable and positive environment for children and families throughout our community.
Thank you for your time, consideration, and continued support of our mission.
Sincerely,
Rafael Torres
President,
SPUYSC
