Greetings
I love San Rafael - my city of many years with a mission.
Re the Los Gamos proposed development:
in our time of climate change - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
let us not add more cement on our precious land and soil.
I urge the city of San Rafael and all of Marin to strictly consider our environment and the dangers of loosing more land to development
Let’s for once now mean what we say and keep our planet livable for our human race.
There are plenty of areas in our city which can be redesigned, like the huge empty areas at Northgate / Sears & parking lots Let’s find more areas to repurpose and put a COMPLETE STOP on any new development on our precious soil.
thank you for brining my voice to the meeting on Monday evening best regards - Amido.

To: Distrib- City Clerk <[email protected]> Mayor Kate and Members of the City Council,
I am writing in support of the Neighborhood at Los Gamos because it will be a great home for its re ident and an important addition to our city The Neighborhood at Lo Gamo offer San Rafael 192 homes, 20 of which are deed-restricted as affordable in accordance with our city’s requirement. Many of these homes will be affordable to our increasingly-commuting workforce, lessening our city’s traffic and carbon dependence Additionally, they are in a hi torically whiter and wealthier neighborhood with good access to public transit and green spaces.
Many in San Rafael seek equity, environmental sustainability, and integrated communities, and this project will help u get there
Please support this much-needed housing in Marin,
Ethan

To: Distrib- City Clerk <[email protected]> Hello, I am writing to you regarding the proposed apartment project on Los Gamos Drive. I am concerned with potential greenhouse gas emissions and subsequent climate impacts that the project may have, and would like to request that the City Council take steps to mitigate negative climate impacts.
Requiring efficient all-electric appliances and hookups is a simple, cost-effective opportunity to significantly reduce the climate impacts of the project. Additionally, making electric appliances a priority is consistent with the San Rafael’s Climate Change Action Plan 2030 and General Plan 2040.
Ensuring that The Neighborhood utilizes all-electric appliances yields lower housing costs based-on the construction demands (no need for new gas lines), better public health based-on reduced indoor gas pollution, and a healthier planet.
As a San Rafael resident, I urge you to take concrete action that will positively impact our community for generations by making approval of The Neighborhood contingent on building with all-electric.
Cheers,
Scott Moller
