To: Distrib- City Clerk <[email protected]> Cc: Robin Moller <[email protected]>; David Moller <[email protected]> As a longtime Terra Linda/San Rafael homeowner and resident, I’m happy that we’ll be building more affordable housing with the Los Gamos project As an environmentalist, I believe that we should make approval of this project conditional on it being an all-electric development.
By building this as an all-electric new development we’ll be acting in accordance with San Rafael’s Climate Change Action Plan 2030 and the General Plan 2040 and reducing our city’s per capita greenhouse gas emissions Gas fueled appliances have no place in our future due to climate change and the indoor pollution that they cause.
While it’s slow and expensive to retrofit homes and businesses in San Rafael to make them all-electric, it’s efficient to commit to all-electric new development, every time. That’s what we need to do with this project—and every future one
Thanks,
Anne-Christine
