Subject: Kaiser Permanente Comments Los Gamos Apartment Project Dear Mayor Colin and City Councilmembers,
We appreciate the opportunity to provide comments in regard to the proposed 192-unit Los Gamos Apartments. As a Los Gamos neighbor, Kaiser Permanente does have some concerns about the project of which the most significant are:
• Pedestrian safety along Los Gamos. (Request consideration of additional raised crosswalks or bulb-outs with indicators for pedestrian crossings.) • Parking ratio presented for the apartment site.
• Access to public transportation.
• Traffic Study conducted prior to the opening of the Kaiser Permanente San Rafael Park Medical Offices.
• Priority access to employees of adjacent places of work during initial lease offering period.
As always, we value the efforts of the City of San Rafael to help our communities thrive.
