Dear folks: I will be out of town on the day/evening of the meeting, but please note that I would like go on record as being vehemently opposed to the use of gas leaf blowers, although I have no problem with electric blowers.

In addition to the repulsive noise, the pollution of two cycle gas engines is very detrimental to our air quality, particularly during this unsettled time of climate change and increasing air temperatures.

Thank you,
Hal Lauritzen

We would like to see San Rafael be just electric blowers. Our gardeners have both gas and electric because like most gardeners in Marin they work in many of the other towns that have banned gas blowers. Electric is fast and efficient and with gas at $6 most smart gardeners are happy to switch.

To the San Rafael City Council,
I wish to express my strongest support for the proposed leaf blower ordinance. San Rafael is long overdue for this regulation, which will help non only noise pollution but air pollution of many kinds.

Thank you for at last moving forward on this.

Sincerely,
Richard Tarnas
