To: Distrib- City Clerk <[email protected]> Subject: Comment on the Proposed Canal Street Underground Utility District To whom it may concern: If the City and PG&E create the underground utility district, which will require PG&E to pull all new power cables through the area, the City should request PG&E to simultaneously give consideration to power requirements through the area that will permit residences to eventually install electric car chargers. This would be of particular concern and benefit to the 400, 330, 260, 240 and 220 multi-unit dwellings that will have higher power consumption for car charging. Pulling higher rated cabling and support structures that can take such demand loads now will prevent the need to refit in the future, especially given the electric car future that is coming. --
