Hi Mayor and City Council,
On Monday night's meeting, there were two members of the public who provided comments in Spanish, but we didn't have interpreters scheduled for the meeting. Please see their comment translated into English below, and we will be posting this as correspondence related to the agenda item:
“Good evening, everyone, my name is Aurelia Vargas. I am excited to hear about the project on the new station, it is something that we need. But as a Canal resident, I want to thank the City of San Rafael and Golden Gate Transit for taking us in consideration and giving us the opportunity to be a part of the design that in reality we are the ones that need and use public transportation the most. It is very important that we are part of and to be considered when taking on these projects. This is all I wanted to comment on, thank you very much.” “Good evening, everyone here present. My name is Zoyla Rios. As a member of the community, I want to thank all of you and the members of the project for the new transit center of San Rafael. For taking in consideration our community and requesting feedback in said project. We hope to continue to be a part of the next phases of the project. Thank you very much” .
