To: Distrib- City Clerk <[email protected]> Subject: Support for Increased Fees for Recreation Master Fees - Regular Aquatic and Fall/Winter Aquatic
I would like to support the proposed Recreation Master Fee increases:

1. Regular Season Aquatics Fees 15% increase

2. Fall/Winter Aquatics Fees 22% increase (Effective October 1, 2024) With the following recommendations:
• Increased Fees should be tied to an agreement to no decreases in the current hours of operation and access to the public for lap and recreation swim. • Consider larger fee increases to keep the pool open year-round. • Restructure the pricing model to allow regular swimmers to purchase annual passes, with punchcards still available to others who only swim occasionally. • Pools must be open to the public for Lap Swim/Recreation swim 7 days per week. • Pools should perform scheduled regular maintenance during the hours when the pools closed. For example, the Terra Linda Pool is closed every Friday to the Public all year round . The reason provided by management is that they need to perform maintenance. Can maintenance instead be completed during the hours when the pool is closed? This policy is inconsistent with other public local pools and constrains public access.

Thank you.
