By blocking the Left turn from 3rd Street onto Marquard you are creating an even bigger safety issue in our neighborhood.
Cars having to turn Left onto West Street instead, will not have a stop light to turn with and bicyclists will be in more danger riding in either direction, East/West or West/ East Also cars and delivery trucks taking a Left onto West Street will be having to navigate a very narrow road and the hairpin turn at Marquard and Fremont to go up the hill. Most large cars and trucks cannot make that hairpin turn as a single turn but instead need to make a 2-3 point turn to get through it.
Closing the left-hand turn onto Marquard Ave is making a bigger problem and much more dangerous for bicyclists.
