Vice Mayor Rachel Kertz,
Please withdraw and revise the proposed Parkland and Rec Facility development fees.
I am a Marin resident who loves parks and also cares about housing. My wife works in Marin public schools and I work at a nonprofit. We both have good middle-class jobs but are priced out of the Marin housing market.
This proposal goes beyond requesting that new developments contribute their fair share.
Instead of funding new park and recreation facilities, it will stunt new housing construction that we need.
