SUBJECT: Open Space Advisory Committee Appointments
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Staff recommends that the City Council review the applications, interview the applicants, and appoint two candidates as regular members with terms to expire July 2024; and appoint Seth Adams as the Non-Governmental Organization member for terms to expire July 2024.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The Open Space Advisory Committee consists of six members with staggered terms: four residents at-large, one Non-governmental Organization (NGO) member, and one alternate resident at-large. One Planning Commissioner and one Parks and Community Services Commissioner are appointed by their respective Commissions.
The following vacancies were listed on the City’s website and NextDoor account soliciting applications: two regular members at-large and one non-governmental organization member.
Seven applications were received from Carla Collins, Jennifer Heke, Lorraine Kalich, Farrokh Khodadadi, Scott Mansholt, Sally Scholl, and Jaideep Vijayakar. One application was received from Seth Adams for the Non-Governmental Organization position.
