2. CLOSED SESSION
2.1 Closed Session conference with legal counsel - Existing Litigation (Section 54956.9(a))
Name of Case: National Opioid Litigation Settlements: Teva, Allergan, Walmart, Walgreens and CVS Settlements
The Council convened to closed session at 5:01 p.m. and reconvened at 5:20 p.m.
2.2 Report on Closed Session
Vice Mayor Armstrong reported that the City Council met in closed session to discuss the 2022 National Opioid Litigation Settlements with the following defendants: Teva, Allergan, Walmart, Walgreens, and CVS. The Council unanimously directed the City Attorney to take steps to have the City opt into the proposed class action settlements.
