1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
The meeting was called to order at 3:35 p.m.

Also in attendance: Interim City Manager Steven Spedowfski, City Attorney Martin Lysons, Acting City Clerk Joan Snashall, and Acting Deputy City Clerk Lisa Schlotz.
2. CLOSED SESSION
Mayor Hudson opened public comment. There were no public comments. Mayor Hudson closed public comment.
2.1 Convene to Closed Session pursuant to Govt. Code §59457(b) for the Consideration of City Manager Appointment
The City Council convened to closed session at 3:36 p.m. and reconvened at 3:57 p.m.
2.2 Report on Closed Session
Mayor Hudson reported that the Council has met in closed session to discuss the appointment of a new City Manager. After consideration of all applications for the position and conducting interviews with the top candidates, the Council unanimously voted to retain Steven Spedowfski as City Manager. In addition, the Council has directed staff to bring an item to the June 27th Council meeting to establish an ad hoc subcommittee consisting of the Mayor and Vice Mayor to conduct contract negotiations with Mr. Spedowfski. The draft contract will be brought to the Council for its approval in open session at a future council meeting.
