5.1 Priority Access System Policy for City-Funded Housing Projects 2 Policy Committee Meeting – October 25, 2023
Recommendation: Provide Direction to Staff Regarding the Priority Access System Policy for City-Funded Housing Projects.
Ms. Yee introduced the report and provided background information on the Priority Access System Policy for City funded housing projects.
Written public comment was received from AIArthur du Camelot.
The Committee discussed the priority order and ranking.
Ms. Yee provided clarification on the priority ranking system.
The Committee accepted the report and recommended staff proceed to City Council for consideration.

5.2 Beekeeping Policy
Recommendation: Provide Comments and Feedback Regarding the City’s Policy Addressing Beekeeping and Apiary.
Ms. Garcia introduced the item and provided background information.
The Committee discussed the item. Ms. Yee and Ms. Garcia provided clarification; staff is in process of evaluating the ordinance with the goal of preparing an update to the Zoning ordinance in 2024.
Public comment was provided by Peter Schumacher, Mt Diablo Beekeepers Association.
Written public comment was received from AIArthur du Camelot.
The Committee accepted the report and directed staff to proceed with evaluation and study process required for proposed updates to the Zoning Ordinance.

5.3 Policy Discussion: Proposed Safe Firearms Storage Ordinance Mr. Lysons introduced the item and provided background information on the proposed Safe Firearms Storage Ordinance.
Public comment was provided by Kathy Chiverton, Mark Moskowitz, Rita Chakrabarti, and Susie Ferris Inderkum.
The Committee provided comments, accepted the report, and directed staff to proceed to Council for consideration and adoption of the proposed Safe Firearms Storage 3 Policy Committee Meeting – October 25, 2023
