2. COUNCIL BUSINESS
2.1 Consider Using General Fund Reserves and/or Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) Trust Fund Reserves to Close the Remaining $3.5 Million Budget Gap for the FY 2024/25 Proposed Budget
Administrative Services Director Kelly Sessions presented the staff report.
Mayor Hudson opened public comment. Public comment was received by Greg Carr and Garry Chaban. Mayor Hudson closed public comment.
Cm. Perkins’ motion to close the budget gap from the Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) trust and ask the City Manager to present a plan to restore the trust reserve to 88% by the end of the calendar year was seconded by Mayor Hudson. The motion passed 5-0-0-0.
