CITY COUNCIL MEETING
November 26, 2024
1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Also in attendance: City Manager Steven Spedowski, City Attorney Martin Lysons, City Clerk Christina Franco, and Human Resources Manager Megan O'Donoghue.

Public comment was received from Susie Ferris-Inderkum regarding the passing of Ordinance 527.
5. CONSENT CALENDAR
Vice Mayor Perkins' motion to approve consent calendar items 5.1 through 5.5 was seconded by Cm. Rubio. Prior to the vote, the City Clerk read the following statement regarding item 5.3 and 5.4 in accordance with Government Code Section 54953(c)(3); At the November 12, 2024 regular City Council meeting, the City Council met in closed session to perform the annual evaluation of the City Manager. The City Manager’s rate of pay will not change based on this amendment, although the City Manager will gain the ability to cash out up to eighty (80) hours of accrued vacation leave each year, and any portion of which may be applied to deferred compensation.
At the October 22 and November 12, 2024 regular City Council meeting, the City Council met in closed session to perform the annual evaluation of the City Attorney. The City Council voted unanimously to provide a new annual salary of $311,952 (an increase of 9%). The amended and restated contract will also allow the City Attorney to cash out up to eighty (80) hours of accrued vacation leave each year, any portion of which may be applied to deferred compensation. The motion passed 5-0-0-0.
