I want to serve on the Parks & Community Services Commission because I am passionate about enhancing the quality of life in San Ramon through well-maintained parks, a wide variety of recreation programs, and accessible public spaces. As a resident, I’ve seen firsthand how vital these resources are for fostering community connection, promoting healthy lifestyles, and supporting youth, seniors, and families. I am particularly interested in ensuring that our parks and programs reflect the diversity of San Ramon and are designed with accessibility, sustainability, and long-term community benefit in mind. Serving on the Commission would allow me to contribute a thoughtful, service-oriented perspective, listen to community needs, and help shape policy and investment in ways that reflect both current needs and future growth. I believe that San Ramon is a shining example of how a diverse group of residents can live and thrive together in peace and harmony. It would be a privilege to help continue the great work that has been done and to be able to play a part in making San Ramon a more vibrant, connected, and inclusive place for all residents.
knowledge_experience
While I don’t have professional experience in parks, recreation, or community services, I have a deep personal appreciation for their value and impact. I am a current member of the Arts Advisory Committee and have a good understanding of the programs and facilities in the area of Arts. As a resident, I’ve actively participated in community events, extensively explored local parks and trails, and seen how vital these services are to the well-being and cohesion of our city. Also, I have experience in coaching/referring youth sports, playing competitive sports remains a key part of my life, so I have a deep understanding of the importance that recreation activities play in the lives of not only youths but people of all ages. I bring transferable skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, and a strong interest in public service. I’ve also taken time to educate myself on the role of the Parks & Community Services Commission and the kinds of decisions and planning involved. Most importantly, I care deeply about making sure San Ramon’s public spaces and programs are accessible, inclusive, and reflective of our diverse community. I am eager to contribute a thoughtful, communityoriented perspective and to learn from experienced members along the way.

I believe the most critical recreation program and parks facility needs in the City of San Ramon center around expanded access, improving youth and senior engagement, and expanding community gathering opportunities. Specifically: Enhancing/Expanding Sports Facilities – The use cases for the city’s facilities have evolved in part due to the popularity of newer sports and as a result of the city’s

demographics. For example, interest in pickleball, cricket, and badminton has grown significantly. As such, continuing to add new facilities or repurposing of existing ones along with offering leagues/programs to accommodate the recreation needs of the community should be a priority. Programs for Seniors and Adults – The 55+ population continues to grow in San Ramon for a variety of reasons. I think adding additional programs in the areas of fitness, wellness, and socializing for older adults promote community connection and are important for emotional well-being. Ensuring these programs are accessible and affordable is important as many in this population are out of the workforce and have more limited finances. Youth and Teen Programs – Providing programs for teens that play a part in helping to build/maintain strong emotional and physical well-being and facilitate the development of new healthy friendships with individuals of similar interests has perhaps never been so important. I believe that supporting the priorities of the Teen Council by creating/expanding recreational programs for youths & teens should be a very high priority. Examples could be expanded after-school, weekend, and summer programming, structured sports leagues, and creative options such as arts and leadership development. Community Gathering Spaces & Events– There is a need for even more outdoor event spaces, picnic areas, and cultural programming that reflect San Ramon’s diverse population and promote community engagement. These spaces and events are where our community comes together, and they help build a sense of goodwill between our residents and pride for our city. Both older more established events such as the Art & Wind Festival as well as the newer additions such as the Lunar New Year Celebration, The Holi Celebration, and the Qual Run Cricket Pitch are great examples of meeting the needs of our residents.
contribution
I believe the most important contribution I can make as a commission member is to serve as a thoughtful, engaged, and passionate advocate for the needs of the residents of San Ramon in conjunction with my colleagues on the Commission. I bring strong listening skills, a collaborative mindset, a belief that the key to emotional and physical health and well-being is staying active, and a commitment to do what is in the best interests of all of our residents.

My ability to thoughtfully assess community input, balance varying perspectives, and work toward practical, forward-thinking solutions will enable me to help guide policies and programs that serve everyone. Additionally, I am detail-oriented and have an extensive background in Finance, which means I can help ensure that decisions are not only visionary but also feasible and sustainable. Whether it’s improving park facilities, supporting teen or senior programming, or addressing long-term planning needs, I am committed to helping the commission be both responsive and innovative in its service to its residents.

The role of the Parks and Community Services staff and the programs they support are an essential and integral connection to the community - it is what makes community! The Arts are what makes a community vital - the Arts are inclusive. The Arts are welcoming.

The Arts are an equal opportunity activity that brings the people of a community together to create, learn, understand and appreciate the best of each other. My involvement with Parks & Community Services began in 1994 assisting in talent procurement - musicians, artists and ensembles - for Community events including the Black & White Party and the Art and Wind Festival. That was my path to the Arts Advisory Committee, San Ramon Arts Foundation and the Parks and Community Services Commission. The support of PCS, my City, the Arts in the Tri-Valley and providing a perspective of continuity and precedent while looking for new areas to expand the outreach into the community - that is why I want to continue my service on the Parks and Community Services Commission to San Ramon.
knowledge_experience
The Park System in San Ramon is the best in the Tri-Valley and throughout the Bay Area, There are many factors in creating a park environment within a community - quantity, quality, variety, location, maintenance and care. There is a balance in providing the high level of service expected and delivered and the various needs of community segments and cost. The services and program side of the PCS is the "software" to the "hardware" infrastructure - it is what brings the parks and facilities to life! Sports, Arts, Education, Camps ... these are the fulfillment of the work of creating venues and buildings! The important trend is looking for constant feedback and critiques from the residents and non-residents alike to keep the programs current and relevant. My experience in working the food

The most critical recreation program and parks facility need is ... what the residents give the staff and the commission as feedback.

Every meeting "Public Comment" is encouraged and is essential to continue to enhance and improve existing programs and create new offerings that have been suggested by the residents - our customers! While not every suggestion can be integrated or added to the strategic ad general plan, it is an essential mix of the planning and expansion of programming. This is evident in the evolving presence of cricket and pickle ball facilities in the city. Both have a large community segment that is very interested in these activities and the availability of the relevant facilities to allow sufficient court and pitch time! There must also be consideration to provide the services and programs in a fair and equitable way so that cost is not a barrier to participation. This is related to the budget issues and the role that a cost-recovery strategy is an essential view in the Parks and Services segment of the city funding. Cost-Recovery is an important metric, but not for every program / service and not to the exclusion of segments of the residents on the city. The critical program is the delivery of services and facilities in which the residents support, want and participate. As in all city government, we are first the servants of the residents and then the guardians of the culture and environment that defines that city.
contribution
The contribution I bring to the Commission is a continuity of care, involvement and personal commitment to the programs, the parks and the people of San Ramon. It is important to look ahead but with the knowledge and awareness of the legacy of the past 40 years. Our community has changed dramatically in that time. While some in the community are not comfortable with the evolving scene of San Ramon, it is with the consideration of the future that we look for the best way to secure a continual aspect of excellence, involvement, awareness and inclusion that describes the character and personality of the City. I am also involved throughout the Tri-Valley both in my business as well as with community involvement and the Arts. It is important that we leverage and partner with our Tri-Valley neighbors as it is to our advantage to be a part of the region. I want to accept that challenge over the next four years to progress the work of PCS with a perspective of the future and an appreciation of the accomplishments that provide the strong foundation to move forward ... Thank you for the opportunity to continue my service ...

whycommission
Serving my community has always been important to me as a longtime resident of both Danville and San Ramon. I’ve been fortunate to raise my family in a community that offers strong schools, cultural diversity, economic opportunity, and exceptional parks and public resources. These have had a significant impact on our quality of life, and I recognize the vital importance of maintaining and improving these assets for others. Joining the Parks & Community Services Commission is a natural extension of my commitment to giving back and staying engaged. I want to help shape policies and programs that ensure our parks and recreational services remain accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the evolving needs of our community. My background in leadership, community development, Urban Planning, and collaboration can contribute to thoughtful planning and long-term success for San Ramon.
knowledge_experience
I’ve been a resident of the San Ramon/Danville area for nearly 30 years and have actively engaged in the community, both personally and professionally. My family has benefited from the region’s exceptional parks, fields, and recreation services, and I’ve also explored how other communities approach these amenities to better understand both successes and challenges. My education in Landscape Architecture and professional background have given me a strong understanding of community needs, land use, urban planning, and program development—key elements in fostering higher engagement and long-term value. I’ve also served in community leadership roles that focused on improving access, adoption, and utilization of local services and the business community. I’m committed to contributing that insight to support San Ramon’s future.
criticalprogram
The most critical needs are expanding accessibility and advancing inclusive, diverse programming, especially for seniors and young children. As San Ramon continues to grow and shift toward higherdensity living, our parks and community services must adapt to ensure that all residents remain connected and engaged. Seniors often face challenges related to mobility and transportation. With more senior housing being developed near the city center, we require more effective solutions. The continued integration of autonomous transportation can help bridge that gap and improve access to parks and programs for those who need it most. At the same time, youth are increasingly disconnected from outdoor spaces due to electronic distractions. Encouraging engagement outside the home is essential.

These programs and spaces should provide young people with a sense of connection, activity, and purpose. I understand how thoughtful planning and forward-thinking solutions can drive

I can offer three key areas of impact as a commission member: My professional background in Landscape Architecture provides me with a strong understanding of urban planning, land use, and growth management—skills that directly support the thoughtful and sustainable development of parks and recreation resources. As a long-time resident of the San Ramon Valley, I bring the perspective of someone who has actively utilized and benefited from the city’s parks, programs, and facilities. I understand firsthand what works well and where there are opportunities for improvement. I have a lifelong commitment to community leadership, involvement, and service, and this role is a natural extension of that. It’s an opportunity to continue supporting our city’s growth, help shape its future, and ensure all residents feel connected through accessible, high-quality public spaces and programs.

nonprofit boards has equipped me with a unique perspective on how parks and public services can bridge gaps in accessibility, sustainability, and quality of life. On my role as Planning Commission member, I evaluated projects through dual lenses:

I also managed budgets for amenities and facilitated resident input—skills directly transferable to stewarding park resources and programming. I’m eager to bring this blend of technical rigor and community driven focus to the Parks & Community Services Commission, ensuring our parks and services reflect the diverse needs of all residents
knowledge_experience
I bring 10+ years of experience in community development, planning and governance with direct relevance to parks, recreation and public services: As a Planning Commission member, advised on parkland dedications, open-space preservation, and equitable access to amenities during development reviews As a HOA Leadership, managed master-planned communities, overseeing parks, trails, and recreational facilities while balancing budgets and resident needs Working at Nonprofit Boards partnered with local governments on youth programs to align recreation services with community priorities like literacy and job training Good understanding of landuse law, sustainability planning and ethics, equipped me to address funding, compliance, and climate-resilient design
criticalprogram
I see the most critical recreation program and parks facility needs center on equity, accessibility, sustainability and community engagement. These priorities ensure public spaces and services meet the evolving demands of diverse populations while addressing systemic gaps. Below are key areas, I would focus: 1. Ensure adequate parks, trails or recreation centers for all residents. Strategic investments in these areas, guided by data , population density is essential 2. ADA Compliance & Inclusivity: Facilities must accommodate all ages and abilities, with features like wheelchair accessible playgrounds, sensory-friendly programming and multilingual outreach 3. Parks should integrate drought-resistant landscaping, stormwater management, and shade structures to combat excessive heats 4. Prioritize deferred upkeep maintenance backlogs such as aging playgrounds, restrooms, to ensure safety and longevity 5. Energy Efficiency upgrades to facilities with solarpowered lighting, EV charging stations and usage of recycled

I’m eager to bring this perspective to Parks & Community Services Commission, ensuring our facilities and programs serve as inclusive, sustainable hubs for all residents
contribution
Most Important Contribution as a Commission Member: As a Parks & Community Services Commission member, my most critical contribution would be leveraging my decades of experience in financial budgeting work with community-driven planning, policy analysis and equitable resource allocation to ensure parks and recreation services meet the needs of all residents. My unique blend of skills would advance the commission’s work in three key ways: 1.

whycommission
Having been fortunate enough to serve on the Parks and Community Services Commission since being appointed in August of 2023, I have actively participated in the role that the Commission plays in providing voices from the community to advise the City Council and City staff about the recreational programs, events, facilities, and services that the City provide for this community. I've involved myself in other aspects of the Community as well to help grow and develop my perspectives on this City and the services that it offers to residents. I'd like to continue my service on the Commission so that I can build upon the experiences that I've gleaned so far, and continue to grow and develop, much as the City itself does. I take the responsibility of serving on the Parks and Community Services

I want to continue to help provide focus and feedback to staff's efforts to deliver the most effective services possible to this community.
knowledge_experience
Since being appointed to the Parks and Community Services Commission in August 2023, I have involved myself in the Commission's work and the activities of the Parks and Community Services Department. I serve on the Commission's Facilities Subcommittee and have served as the Commission's liaison to the Library Advisory Committee and the Teen Council. I have also participated on the Ad Hoc Interview Panels that the Commission convenes to interview applicants for the Library Advisory Committee, Teen Council, and Arts Advisory Committee. During my service on the Commission, I have provided input into several significant projects, including the Crow Canyon Gardens Phased Plan; Parks, Trails, Open Space, and Recreation Master Plan; Ramona Park Playground Replacement; Boone House Restoration Project; and Bishop Ranch City Walk Public Art Master Plan. I've also volunteered to represent the Commission at numerous community events, including the Art and Wind Festival, Bah Humbug Run, Culture in the Community, public art piece
unveilings, and the grand opening of Sunrise Ridge Park. I have actively participated in several of the programs offered by the Parks and Community Services department, including the Secret History Tour and a Dark Skies Alliance Nightwalk. Outside of my service on the Commission but still related to it, I also served as the Campaign Treasurer of Residents for San Ramon - Yes on Measure N, a grassroots advocacy campaign committee made up entirely of San Ramon residents which successfully advocated in favor of a 1% local sales tax measure on the November 5, 2024 ballot. This measure was necessary to help the City responsibly address a structural budget deficit while protecting San Ramon's vital public services, including police services, first responders, street maintenance, public library hours, and park maintenance. During that campaign, I developed a very real understanding of how vitally important the residents feel it is for the City to be able to provide those services to them.

San Ramon is a growing and thriving community, with more housing, and thus more residents, well on the way. In the years to come, the population served by the City is going to significantly increase, and the recreational programs and park facilities provided by the City will need to either increase along with it, or find new and more efficient ways of delivering services. There are three critical recreational program and parks facility needs : 1) Providing relevant programming; 2) Identifying new ways to be fiscally responsible in light of increasing costs for goods and services; and 3) Maintaining San Ramon's vast amount of existing parks facilities infrastructure. 1) Relevant Programming: The City has already changed, for the better, so much during the time that I've lived here, and I've noticed that the programs and priorities have evolved as well, as they should.

2.1.a
Packet Pg. 20
Attachment: Parks and Community Services Commission Applications (4729 : PCS Interviews and Appointments) criticalprogram
Identifying programs that reflect and value the cultural makeup of the City's residents while building wider community ties should be a main focus of staff's efforts. San Ramon is also blessed with vibrant and varied programs for youth, but as the current population of San Ramon ages and newer residents are often young professionals without families, more programming needs to be developed and targeted to those demographics as well. 2) Fiscal Responsibility: San Ramon prides itself on fiscal responsibility and provides much using comparatively little, but the costs of existing goods and services are only going to increase. The Parks and Community Services Department has long had a goal of 50% cost recovery for the programs that it offers, and that goal is going to become increasingly unsustainable to meet at basic costs increase while attendance and participation reaches a finite ceiling. San Ramon has a limited retail footprint and thus limited revenue sources - while the Measure N revenue will help close some of the gap, it is not enough by itself and is not an indefinite funding source. The City will need to continue to find ways to efficiently budget and identify new partnerships and sponsorship opportunities. 3) Infrastructure: San Ramon already has nearly 60 parks with several more on the way, as well as four community centers, two libraries, two performing art venues, two aquatics centers, and numerous sport courts and sports fields. It's going to become harder as time goes on to maintain the City's parks and recreational infrastructure, so prioritizing maintenance and improvements to the most important and well-used recreational facilities is crucial. Since such projects can be very expensive and exceed available funds, identifying phased approaches whenever possible is an efficient way to plan for needed improvements while being mindful of budgetary constraints. contribution
I am a young professional who has helped bring the perspective of that particular demographic and its needs to the Parks and Community Services Commission. I feel that the knowledge I have acquired of some of the City's policies, practices, and personnel during my service has helped me to bring an informed perspective to my community in general. I am also an employee of local government, but for a completely different jurisdiction and subject matter, so I am able to bring the experience and understanding of the opportunities that local government provides, but without any conflicts of interest or biases. I understand the role that the Commission plays in the policymaking process and I know how helpful the feedback that the Commission provides to staff and the City Council can be. Engagement and active participation are key, and I have actively tried to contribute to healthy civic discourse in my community by being involved in it.

You feel you make a difference. I like being involved in community events. I am proud to be a commissioner. It enables me to answer questions and work with citizens about different aspects about San Ramon. You are an ambassador for the City.

I think my past experience as a Park Commissioner will show what my experiences has been. If continuing I would continue to be involved, keeping abreast of new laws, always be available to talk with citizens and work closely with the Council and others for the City. Currently, there are lots of new homes being built, changes in our community and I will need to keep abreast of happenings, be open to new ideas and work for the betterment of San Ramon.

With all the park now becoming older, maintenance is most important. We are known for our wonderful parks and we need to keep them up to date. With new development we need to learn and develop new avenues for our growing city. We must not lose the community spirit that our city has. Continue to make our citizens be responsible and have them become more involved with city activities.

Keep abreast of what is happing in the city, study about different issues and continue to be involved in all areas for the city. Be proud to be an ambassador for the city and a resident who makes sure our city continues to grow in a loving and friendly manner. I am concerned that Bollinger Canyon Road is becoming a heavily traveled area and a congested. We should be aware of this issue.

knowledge_experience
I have had the privilege of serving as a Parks and Community Services Commissioner for the past four years and am currently serving as the Chair of the Commission. This role has provided me with a deep understanding of the City’s parks, facilities, programs, and the strategic planning that goes into supporting San Ramon’s high quality of life. In addition, as a founding member and former President of Agomoni, a local nonprofit organization focused on community building and cultural enrichment, I have worked extensively with the City’s community centers and recreational facilities. We have hosted large-scale events such as the Agomoni Durga Puja at the San Ramon Community Center at Central Park for several years, as well as other cultural programs at various city venues. Through this experience, I’ve developed strong working relationships with Parks and Community Services staff and facility management. On a personal level, my family and I are regular users of San Ramon’s parks and recreational amenities. We frequently visit neighborhood parks and make active use of the city’s tennis and basketball courts. I truly appreciate the city’s well-distributed network of over 50 parks and recreational spaces, which contributes to San Ramon’s reputation as one of the most desirable places to live in the Bay Area. I also have firsthand experience with the City’s seasonal recreation programs and camps, which offer a wide variety of options in sports, wellness, performing and cultural arts, martial arts, and therapeutic activities for all ages. My twin daughters have participated in many of these programs over the years, and I’ve seen the positive impact they have on youth development and community engagement.

As an active and engaged member of San Ramon’s diverse
community, I view our city’s recreational and park services as falling into four key categories: 1. City-led community events such as the Art & Wind Festival, Run for Education, Culture in the Community, and Summer Concert Series, which bring the
community together and celebrate our city’s vibrant culture. 2.

Sports and athletic facilities that support year-round activities like baseball, soccer, basketball, cricket, and others—essential for promoting youth development, healthy living, and community engagement. 3. Privately organized events at City facilities, such as Agomoni Durga Puja, Maya Bazaar, Diwali celebrations, Dandiya nights, and various holiday events. These activities foster cultural inclusion and make San Ramon a model for community-driven diversity. 4. Seasonal recreational programs for all ages—including preschool camps, youth enrichment, performing arts, wellness, and therapeutic offerings—which serve as vital community-building

2.1.a
Packet Pg. 27

From my perspective, San Ramon’s recreational programs are thoughtfully designed and professionally managed. My own family has benefited from them— particularly my daughters, who have participated in a wide variety of enrichment and arts programs over the years. The breadth of offerings ensures there is something for everyone in our community.

Two programs that stand out as particularly impactful are the Teen Council and Senior Services programs. The Teen Council gives our local youth invaluable opportunities to develop leadership, civic responsibility, and real-world skills—helping shape the next generation of community leaders. Meanwhile, the City’s
commitment to senior engagement and assistance reflects a deep respect for our elder residents. These programs not only provide essential services but also promote intergenerational connection and inclusion. Going forward, I believe it’s critical to continue supporting these types of programs, while also ensuring our facilities and open spaces remain accessible, safe, and adaptable to the evolving needs of San Ramon’s growing and diverse population. contribution
Parks and Community Services is the heart of any vibrant, familyoriented city like San Ramon. As someone with an active social life and a deep sense of civic responsibility, I’m committed not only to benefiting from our community programs and facilities, but also to giving back through meaningful service and leadership. My personal motto has always been to “organize and make things happen” for the community I live in. If given the opportunity to continue serving on the Parks and Community Services Commission, I will bring the experience and perspective I’ve gained over the past four years as a Commissioner—including my current role as Chair—as well as over 20 years of professional and leadership experience across startups and global organizations, both domestically and internationally. In addition to my professional background, I bring strong community ties built through years of grassroots involvement. As a founding member and past president of the nonprofit organization Agomoni, I’ve helped foster cultural engagement and community connection through large-scale events and philanthropic initiatives. I was also actively involved in community support efforts during the COVID19 pandemic, working closely with SRV Medical Center and other local groups. My previous service on the City’s Arts Advisory and Library Advisory Committees, my role with the San Ramon Valley Diversity Coalition, and my contributions to school fundraising through local education foundations have further deepened my understanding of our city's needs and values. I believe my unique combination of civic experience, professional leadership, and community involvement allows me to serve as a well-rounded and impactful Commission member. I am deeply invested in the future of San Ramon and hope to continue contributing to the development of inclusive, accessible, and enriching parks and community services for all residents as a San Ramon Parks and Community Services Commissioner.

going on both on the web, in social media and in our parks and facilities. I love the parks and I realize that budgets are only going to get tighter for a while. So the key here is finding ways to connect to the adults and children of our community in ways that can be done under-budget and in ways that truly enhance the daily lives and level of joy of the young and old, and both the wealthy and the financially challenged. Parks are about "re-creation" - they are about giving people outdoor space and activities that re-create joy in a community where so much time is being spent in offices, or home-offices and on computers and smart-phones. We need to make it easy and fun for our community to "get some fresh air, make friends, get back to nature, smell the flowers, the trees and the creeks." And for our Elementary and Middle Schoolers we need to get them breaking a sweat, learning some sports, learning TEAMWORK on a sports team, and yes learning actual crafts and skills that are simply not being taught in our public schools where if it is not being taught on a 10" laptop, well it is just not being taught at all. Here to serve, Paul D Rosa

Ultimately, I want to help San Ramon become one of the most desirable places to live in the United States, and I see the Parks & Community Services Commission as a key avenue to achieve that goal.

While my professional background is in finance and program management, my experience in community engagement and city programs has provided me with valuable insights into the needs and priorities of San Ramon residents regarding parks, recreation, and community services. My involvement in the San Ramon Economic Development Committee gave me a broader understanding of the city's overall planning and development, including parks and recreation's role in attracting and retaining residents and businesses.

Furthermore, completing the Police Citizen Academy, Government 101, and Planning Academy courses has deepened my understanding of how city departments, including Parks & Community Services, function and collaborate. My active participation in various local socio-cultural and service organizations has also allowed me to directly interact with residents and understand their diverse recreational interests and needs. Having ran multiple marathons, I am also an avid user of San Ramon's parks, trails, and recreational facilities, which gives me a firsthand perspective on their value and

Based on my observations and community involvement, I believe several important recreation programs and parks facility needs attention: 1. Enhanced Accessibility and Inclusivity: Ensuring that all parks and programs are accessible to residents of all ages and abilities, including those with disabilities. This includes accessible playgrounds, trails, and recreational programs. 2. Expansion of Programs for All Ages: While San Ramon offers excellent programs, there's always room for growth. This includes expanding programs for teens, young adults, and seniors to cater to our community's diverse interests. 3. Maintenance and Upgrades of Existing Facilities: Maintaining the high quality of our existing parks and facilities is crucial. This includes regular maintenance, upgrades to aging infrastructure, and ensuring safety and cleanliness. 4. Trail Connectivity and Expansion: San Ramon is known for its trails, and enhancing their connectivity and expanding the trail network to reach more neighborhoods is essential for promoting active lifestyles. 5. Community Gathering Spaces: Creating more dedicated spaces for community events, festivals, and gatherings. This could involve expanding existing facilities or developing new ones. 6.

Technology Integration: Exploring opportunities to integrate technology to enhance the user experience, such as mobile apps, online program registration, park information kiosks, and digital trail maps. 7. Addressing the needs of a growing population: As San Ramon continues to grow, it is essential to plan for future needs by acquiring and developing new parkland and recreational facilities to serve the increasing population.

My retired lifestyle and love for the outdoors - city, state & national parks. As a resident of San Ramon for 26 1/2 years (since Nov 1999) I have enjoyed the services offered by Parks and Community Services. Now is my time to give back to my community!!! knowledge_experience
My first job after graduating from college with a computer science was for the City of Los Angeles - Information Technology Agency (ITA) where I worked for about 7 years. Within those 7 years I worked for various departments/agencies - Recreation and Parks, LAPD, Mayor's Office, etc. I automated various aspects of these departments/agencies with the ultimate goal of "Los Angeles brings it all together". I kept this mind everyday and my that my job was to serve every resident member of the City of Los Angeles! In Nov 1999, we moved to San Ramon, with 3 boys, in elementary then, and mother in law, who just turned 90 2 months ago. Both my wife and I have take our children and mother and enjoyed the parks, senior and community centers, and special events. Last year, I graduated from the San Ramon Police Community Academy, which gave me further local government and community experience.
