CITY COUNCIL MEETING
August 14, 2025
1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
The Mayor called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m.

2. COUNCIL BUSINESS
2.1 Planning Commission Interviews and Appointment
The City Council conducted 3 interviews. Bruce Alls was unable to attend and was considered by application only.
Vice Mayor Verose's motion to create a waitlist of one qualified candidate should a vacancy occur on the Planning Commission before June 2027, was seconded by Cm.
Rubio. The motion passed 5-0-0-0.
The Council took a break at 7:10 p.m. and reconvened at 7:13 pm.

Public comment was received from Chirag Kathrani and Pam Wallace. Written public comment was received from anonymous.
Cm. Rubio's motion to appoint Max Zhang to the Planning Commission for a term to expire in June 2029, was seconded by Vice Mayor Verose. The motion passed 5-0-0-0.
Vice Mayor Verose's motion to place Abhijit Banerjee on a waitlist should a vacancy occur on the Commission before June 2027, was seconded by Cm. Rubio. The motion passed 5-0-0-0.
