City Council Staff Report
Item No. 2.1.

Date: March 27, 2026
To: San Ramon City Council
From: Christina Franco, Deputy City Manager
Joan Snashall, City Clerk
Subject: Sustainability Advisory Committee Interviews and Appointments Executive Summary:

The Sustainability Advisory Committee was established to provide guidance to City staff and the City Council on implementing the City’s Climate Action Plan (CAP) and related sustainability initiatives. The Committee will consist of five regular members and two alternates serving staggered four-year terms. To establish this structure, initial appointments will be divided between terms ending in 2029 and 2030. Following appointments, staff will organize the Committee’s inaugural meeting to establish logistics and address initial administrative matters.

Recommendation:

Staff recommends that the City Council review the applications, conduct the interviews, and appoint candidates to fill the vacancies on the Sustainability Advisory Committee.

Background:

On November 12, 2025, the City Council approved the formation of the Sustainability Advisory Committee. The Committee was established to serve in an advisory capacity to City staff and the City Council on matters related to the implementation of the City’s Climate Action Plan (CAP) and related climate-focused programs.

The Sustainability Advisory Committee is comprised of five (5) regular members and two (2) alternate members with staggered four-year terms. Because this is a newly established committee, the initial appointments will need to establish odd and even year staggered terms:
• Term ending 2029: three (3) regular members and one (1) alternate member • Term ending 2030: two (2) regular members and one (1) alternate member

Page 3 of 33 ends

The City Clerk’s Office listed the vacancies on the City’s website and social media accounts soliciting applications. A total of twelve applications were received by the January 28, 2026, deadline from Madhuri Adettiwar, Manuel Beltran, Ben Cherry, Christ Dembiczak, Alex Hurd, Meera Jacob, Chirag Kathrani, John Larsen, Diya Malali, Lorena Perez, Jennifer Shuen, and Martin Waterhouse. One applicant, Daniel Shim, withdrew his application.

Fiscal Impact:

There is no fiscal impact associated with the appointment of committee members.

Alternative Option(s):

Recruitment can be reopened if there are insufficient qualified candidates.

Next Steps:

Upon appointment of committee members, staff will schedule the Committee’s inaugural meeting to establish meeting logistics, including regular meeting dates and times, and address initial administrative matters.

purposegoals
The Sustainability Advisory Committee serves to advise and support the San Ramon City Council and City staff in the effective implementation of the City’s adopted Climate Action Plan (CAP) and related climate-focused initiatives. The Committee’s goal is to help translate the CAP’s objectives into actionable, measurable programs that advance sustainability, reduce emissions, and enhance quality of life for the San Ramon community. The Committee provides informed guidance on CAP workplan execution, evaluates progress and opportunities for improvement, and offers recommendations to ensure programs remain aligned with best practices, evolving regulations, and community needs. In addition, the Committee plays a key role in community outreach and engagement—helping educate residents and stakeholders, encourage participation, and foster shared ownership of the City’s sustainability goals. Through ongoing collaboration with City staff, the Committee supports transparency and accountability by contributing to an annual summary of activities and progress for City Council review, ensuring continuous improvement and long-term impact of San Ramon’s climate and sustainability efforts.
interest
I am interested in serving on the Sustainability Advisory Committee to contribute my professional experience and community perspective to the successful implementation of San Ramon’s Climate Action Plan. I have spent my career leading product strategy, digital transformation, and datadriven initiatives across energy, healthcare, and technology organizations, including building and scaling sustainability- and energy-focused digital platforms at GE and Fluence Energy. Having worked extensively at the intersection of clean energy, and large-scale operational programs, I am motivated to help translate San Ramon’s climate goals into practical, measurable actions that deliver real community impact. I am particularly interested in supporting initiatives related to energy efficiency, clean energy adoption, data-informed decision-making, and community engagement. As a long-time San Ramon resident and parent, I care deeply about the City’s long-term environmental resilience and quality of life. Serving on this advisory body would allow me to give back to the community by applying my professional skills in strategy, execution, and cross-stakeholder collaboration to support the City Council and staff in advancing a sustainable future for San Ramon.
contribution
The most important contribution I can make as a Committee member is helping translate San Ramon’s Climate Action Plan from strategy into practical, measurable outcomes that benefit the community. Drawing on my experience leading large-scale sustainability, clean energy, and data-driven initiatives, I can support the Committee in evaluating programs through a lens of feasibility, impact, and long-term value. I bring a strong ability to synthesize complex information, assess tradeoffs, and recommend actions that balance environmental goals with economic and operational realities. I can also contribute by helping define meaningful metrics and progress tracking, ensuring the City’s climate initiatives remain transparent,

Page 6 of 33 ends

accountable, and adaptable over time. Equally important, I value community engagement and collaboration. I would actively participate in outreach efforts, listen to resident perspectives, and help bridge conversations between City staff, Council, and the community to build shared understanding and momentum around sustainability initiatives. My goal as a Committee member would be to serve as a thoughtful, solutions-oriented partner— supporting the City in making informed decisions that advance sustainability while preserving San Ramon’s quality of life.
participation
I have been actively engaged in both professional and community-focused service roles that support leadership development, education, and civic engagement. I currently serve as an advisor to executive and technology leadership networks, where I contribute guidance on sustainability, digital transformation, and responsible innovation. In addition, I participate in mentoring and speaking engagements focused on career development, leadership, and inclusion, supporting professionals and students as they navigate growth opportunities. I have also supported community wellness and volunteer initiatives through organized group activities and local programs that promote health, education, and environmental awareness.

Through these experiences, I have developed a strong appreciation for collaboration, public service, and the importance of translating expertise into positive community outcomes. I am committed to continuing to contribute my time and skills in ways that support civic goals and strengthen the local community.

purposegoals
My understanding of the purpose for this advisory body is to gather insights from San Ramon residents and business leaders to inform the initiatives and projects pursued as part of San Ramon’s Climate Action Plan (CAP) implementation. The collaborative efforts to launch San Ramon into a more sustainable and resource conscious city inspire me because environmental issues have always been a core priority for me. I have dedicated my professional career to sustainability and am excited by the opportunity to lend my expertise to this committee to see San Ramon grow with community needs as a top priority. It excites me to see that San Ramon is on its way to reducing its GHG emissions down to 332,925 MT CO2e thus surpassing the goal of 40% below 1990 levels as addressed in SB 32. I am eager to assist in reaching updated CAP goals from 2011 for a Net-Zero San Ramon by 2045 and San Ramon’s 2040 General Plan.
interest
The Sustainability Advisory committee has piqued my interest as I want to get more involved in my community, and I feel my environmental background will serve me well in this position. San Ramon has been my home now for three years and the idea of being able to collaborate with others to reach sustainability goals for the entire community would be enlightening. I take great pride in being a resident of San Ramon and wish to serve the community in a larger capacity.
contribution
As a committee member, I will bring expertise in environmental sustainability and community engagement beyond just the work I do in solid waste reduction on a daily basis. I have obtained LEED Green Associate accreditation as well as being a Zero Waste Associate, certified by Zero Waste USA. These accreditations will serve me well in my role on the San Ramon Sustainability Advisory Board to provide feedback and guidance to the projects pursued under the Climate Action Plan. I relish the idea of bringing team spirit and enthusiasm to encourage community members from different backgrounds to work together.

I have participated each San Ramon and Castro Valley Recycles Day events, as well as tabling events like the annual San Ramon Live Well fair, the Castro Valley Fall Festival and the San Leandro Cherry festival. These

participation
Recycles Day events take careful planning for maximum efficiency as we work to process each visitor swiftly assisting them on which station to visit to have their items offloaded as well as providing knowledge of the use of the compost that is given at the end of each line at the events. Additionally, I have participated in tabling at community events such as the San Ramon Live Well Fair, San Leandro Cherry Festival and the Castro Valley Fall Festival. During these events, I engage the community in answering proper sorting questions as well as offering additional information about how they can become more sustainable in their daily lives. Lastly, I have participated in numerous beach clean-ups with Heal the Bay, as well as conducting outreach and getting signatures for a petition to ban single-use plastic food ware in Pacifica during my time with the Pacifica Beach Coalition.

systems thinking, and sustainability leadership. GRI Standards Certified LEED Green Associate FSA Level II Candidate Experience: Sustainability executive with 20 years of experience turning waste into value and scaling circular economy solutions. My career bridges entrepreneurship and leadership, delivering measurable environmental outcomes alongside financial and operational performance. I advise organizations on embedding sustainability as a non-negotiable business strategy, strengthening resilience, unlocking enterprise value, and advancing net-zero progress. I am passionate about advancing sustainability as both a business differentiator and a moral imperative, and I work most effectively at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution.
purposegoals
The Sustainability Advisory Committee exists to help the City move from sustainability goals to practical action. Its role is to provide informed guidance, balance ambition with feasibility, and support decisions that deliver measurable environmental benefits while strengthening community resilience and responsible use of public resources.
interest
I want to apply my professional experience to support my community’s environmental and climate goals in a practical, solutions-oriented way. I have spent my career working at the intersection of sustainability strategy and implementation, and I am motivated by the opportunity to help the City evaluate tradeoffs, identify high-impact opportunities, and advance initiatives that are both environmentally meaningful and operationally feasible. Serving on the Committee would allow me to contribute constructively, learn from other members, and help ensure the City’s sustainability efforts deliver lasting value for residents. contribution
My most important contribution would be bringing an implementation lens to the Committee’s work. I am accustomed to working across policy, operations, and stakeholder interests to identify solutions that deliver measurable environmental outcomes without creating unintended consequences. I can help the Committee assess where effort and investment will produce the greatest impact, and where adjustments may be needed to improve effectiveness and long-term resilience.
participation
My civic engagement has focused on collaborating with municipalities and community stakeholders to advance sustainability, waste reduction, and circular economy initiatives through program design and implementation support. In addition, I volunteer in my community through coastal clean-up efforts and with Habitat for Humanity.

The primary focus and goal of the Advisory Body is to continue the oversight and review of the San Ramon Climate Action Plan and future Greenhouse Gas Inventories. The Sustainability Committee will receive updates from the City and documents to review and provide feedback on after discussion. The goal is to equitably represent the citizens of San Ramon in the journey to comply with AB32 and other city-related GHG reduction mandates. The Advisory body will not make policy, but will be able to support the City in outreach activities and other roles as approved by the City. Lastly, the Sustainability Committee may be able to look at other environmental issues within the City in the future if the charter is expanded to allow other needs to be be addressed.
interest
I enjoyed serving on the Climate Action Plan Task force, which recently disbanded. The experience taught me a lot about how the City conducts business, how Cities are tackling GHG reduction goals, and insights from other members on the Task Force. I would like to continue this work by serving on the Climate Action Task Force. Personally, I am very interested in overseeing GHG and climate changes issues. This is a critical portion of my work at EBMUD and I feel that I have a depth of knowledge and experience that would benefit the City and Sustainability Committee. contribution
The most important contribution to the Sustainability Committee I can make is technical knowledge. Although my work at EBMUD is not exactly the same, I have significant experience preparing GHG inventories, evaluation GHG reduction strategies, and talking with others about the goals. I feel that I can offer a balanced perspective since I strive for practical, equitable solutions when looking at climate change issues. I am also comfortable talking with others about this issue, including those who agree and disagree with the goals of reducing GHGs. A secondary benefit of serving on the Sustainability Committee is that I understand the intent and design of the Climate Action Plan since I was on the Task Force who reviewed it and recommended for approval.
participation
I am relatively new to being involved in City activities. Other than a couple visits to City Hall through Scouting, serving on the Climate Action Plan Task Force was my first official role related to the City. I learned a lot and appreciated the glimpse of how the City conducts business and works from the inside. Prior to volunteering on the Climate Action Plan Task Force, I spent years volunteering for Scouting (as a leader), for Elementary Schools (running the sales at auctions), and participating in several one-time events such as shore clean-ups, food bank service, medical supply warehousing, landscaping days in San Ramon and Dublin, and Truck Time here in San Ramon.

My current role is to support the adult leaders in the Cub Packs and Scout Troops in the San Ramon Valley. I am on the Board of the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation. SRVEF's mission is to champion public education in our community and to support each school's Ed Funds.
purposegoals
The Sustainability Advisory Committee should facilitate in depth discussions that help guide the City as it addresses current problems and while it plans for the future. This Advisory Body should be a sounding board where the competing interests of open space, affordable housing, mobility, business growth, tax base, parks and recreation, public safety, and climate change are weighed so that City Policy can be optimized
interest
As a parent and grandparent I want a bright future. Climate Change is an existential threat to that future; we must work together avoid catastrophe. At the same time we must meet the daily needs of our families; we need San Ramon to be a place where we can be safe, learn, work, worship, and recreate. Government, including the City of San Ramon, must work to provide for both the current and future needs of this community.

Unfortunately various community needs are often in conflict. We must work to consensus and do our best to find compromises that meet the most crucial and pressing needs of our community. I am applying to be on the Sustainability Advisory Committee because I believe its mission is important and because I am able to see problems from various points of view. The City faces many challenges; I believe I can be of service if I serve on the Sustainability Advisory Committee.
contribution
Engineers are taught to identify and define a problem, collect data, test theories, then come up with a solution. By the time one earns a BS he has solved 1000s of problems; one graduates completely confident attacking any problem presented. Of course, as the years go by we realize that the hardest problems have multiple solutions and the best solutions are arrived at by working alongside others. We begin to realize that perspectives and life experience are not simply biases that must be identified but instead represent different ways to see… and develop different ways to solve… problems.

Along the way we see that consensus is valuable. This has been a lifelong journey for me; I continue to hone by listening skills. I strive to empathize with the person speaking, ask clarifying questions, and check for understanding. I try to untether myself from my vision so that I can hear the rational arguments of others. I think this combination of technical problem

Page 16 of 33 ends

solving combined with empathetic listening and a thirst for consensus will make me a valuable member of the Sustainability Advisory Committee. participation
My wife and I have proudly called San Ramon since 1997. We've been involved in local schools, in swim team, in Scouting to name but a few.

We've found a community of "doers"... folks who rather than sit on the side lines and complain jump in and do the work that needs to be done. I believe this is what makes the City of San Ramon one of the best places to raise a family, and why I want to continue to serve.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (B.A. LL.B.) degree from India and will complete a Master’s degree in Public Administration in Spring 2026. I bring several years of public sector experience, currently serving as an Administrative Specialist II with the Alameda County Public Health Department, where I support essential administrative and operational functions that advance public health services. I also serve as a board member for Yes2You, a nonprofit organization based in San Antonio, Texas, where I contribute to organizational leadership and strategic decision-making in support of STEAM-based programs that expand educational access for the local community.
purposegoals
My understanding is that the Sustainability Advisory Committee’s purpose is to support the successful implementation of the City’s adopted Climate Action Plan (CAP) through recommendations to the City Council and guidance to City staff on climate-related programs. The Committee plays an advisory role in reviewing progress, supporting updates to the CAP, and helping advance related sustainability initiatives. It also acts as a bridge between the City and the community by participating in outreach and engagement efforts and contributing to an annual summary of activities for City Council review.
interest
I am interested in serving on the Sustainability Advisory Committee because I want to give back to the San Ramon community and support the City’s sustainability and climate goals. I am particularly interested in contributing to practical, data-informed recommendations and community engagement efforts related to the Climate Action Plan.
contribution
I believe my most important contribution as a Committee member would be providing thoughtful, data-informed input to support the Climate Action Plan. With my background in public administration, I can help review program progress, ask questions that would help collaborate problem solving, and support clear communication between City staff, the Committee, and the community. I also understand the importance of diverse perspectives in any public sector endeavors and can ensure that my recommendations are aligned with community needs. As a public sector employee, I value transparency, accountability, and citizen partnership, and I would bring these principles to the Committee’s work and recommendations.

Lastly, I am committed to following through on responsibilities. I manage my time intentionally, volunteer for tasks, and take steady steps to support long-term programs and ensure they move forward.

I have participated in civic and community activities through volunteer service and public-sector work. I currently volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), where I support foster youth by attending court hearings, completing required documentation, and advocating for the youth's

participation best interests. I also volunteer with Yes2You, another non-profit organization in supporting community-based initiatives focused on STEAM based learning for community members. In my professional role in the public sector, I collaborate across units, participate in process improvement discussions, and support programs that serve the community.

As my past experience, I am a founder of Open Governance initiative, where as most of you would know is have multiple times youths have come and spoke in the city council. This way I have engaged 50+ local high schoolers into understanding governance and getting first hand civic education. I have protested with the youths and am one of the key founder of the San Ramon Valley Climate action task force and have stood out along with the Fridays for Future Kids. I also run non profit Lead For Earth where we have done some interesting projects. 1. Climate Education with Climate Reality where we funded their education in 4 schools in India. 2. AgroRangers where we

experience engaged Siddhesh Sakore to lead and form an Agro Forestry Model where multiple plants which support each other are researched and helped improve the land yield organically and increasing the Carbon Squesteration. Later Siddhesh is now recognized by UN as a Climate Hero. 3. Nashik Hinderland:

Here lead for earth was the first founding donar where 800 Acres of forest land was restored, which needed significant community engagement impacting 1000's of villagers. Later Forest Department offered the team to start restoring another 1200 acres. Similarly there were multiple other projects we supported, on of that which is not donation but and investment in solar company minusco2.in 3. 2.

purposegoals
The purpose of the Committee stated in the San Ramon Sustainability Advisory Committee Guidelines and By-laws is to advise the City Council or to serve in an advisory capacity by providing recommendations to the City Council on successful implementation of the adopted San Ramon Climate Action Plan (CAP) and related climate based programs. This includes assessing progress of the San Ramon CAP and reporting its progress to the City Council.
interest
In general, I am passionate about furthering sustainability for the health of our community today and for the future. More specifically, I am interested in serving on this Advisory Body to provide some of the expertise it will need to review staff implementation, provide guidance, and make recommendations to track implementation of the CAP. I enjoy similar work

Page 24 of 33 ends

in my current State employment and am interested in continuing to perform this work in my own community.
contribution
I feel that I can bring a unique combination of the knowledge and skills needed to assist the Committee in achieving its purpose. This includes the ability to assess implementation, provide guidance, and make succinct recommendations to the staff and the City Council regarding a large amount of complex information that will be provided by staff and that is in the CAP.

I have developed this ability through my work as a key regulator of the states’ multi-billion-dollar energy industry. In this capacity, I am helping the state to assess progress towards meeting similar goals within the energy industry. My knowledge and skills also include my personal experience in achieving these goals within my own home in San Ramon. As a result, I understand the challenges and advantages of pursuing the sustainability measures within the city and have insight into the effectiveness of outreach measures, all of which are included in many places in the CAP. participation
Other than working in my own law practice, I have worked in public service ever since I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree. During this time, I have served as the campaign manager and adviser to my wife, Luz Gomez, who is currently the president of the EBMUD Board of Directors. I have made comments at city council meetings, including to establish San Ramon’s Sustainability Committee. I have also served as an officer in the following community organizations. ● Newcastle Homeowners' Association Board of Directors since 2007 ● Legal Assistance for Seniors, Inc. (LAS), Oakland, CA, Board of Directors President in 2002 LAS is a non-profit corporation that provides legal services to over 8,000 seniors per year with a staff of over 30 people and a budget of over $1.5 million.

My interpretation of the purpose of this committee is to give suggestions on what areas the city can improve upon when it comes to better practices in sustainability and support the initiatives that are approved. interest
I would like to give my input and hopefully help the city reach its goal. I have been passionate about ways to help the planet since I was a kid. I have been influencing everyone around me to change their behaviors towards the planet. Recycling was my biggest task at home and making sure that everyone participated. three master’s degrees: two from the University of Kansas in Teaching English as a Second Language and Computer Science, and a Master of Educational Leadership from the University of California, Berkeley. I spent approximately 20 years working at AT&T and Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs, where I developed expertise in systems thinking, technology, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. I then served nearly 20 years as an educator with the San Ramon Valley Unified School District, focusing on long-term planning, communication, and organizational improvement. I am also the owner of Washington Realty, a small, locally operated real estate company. I am not actively or aggressively engaged in business development, and my involvement is focused on responsible property management and long-term community stewardship. Now retired, I am eager to continue serving the San Ramon community by contributing my leadership experience, analytical skills, and collaborative approach to the Sustainability Advisory Committee.
purposegoals
I believe the purpose of the Sustainability Advisory Committee is to advise the City Council on policies and initiatives that promote environmental stewardship, resource conservation, and long-term resilience for the San Ramon community. The committee plays a key role in helping the city balance growth with quality of life by reducing environmental impact, improving energy efficiency, supporting sustainable transportation, and encouraging responsible use of natural resources. In addition, the committee can work in coordination with City staff to organize community events and outreach efforts that educate residents, promote sustainable practices, and strengthen community-wide engagement in climate action. Ultimately, the goal is to help San Ramon make thoughtful, data-informed decisions that benefit both current residents and future generations.
interest
I am interested in serving on the Sustainability Advisory Committee because I care deeply about the long-term well-being of our community and believe sustainability must be integrated into everyday decision-making, not treated as a separate issue. As a long-time San Ramon resident, 23 years, and community volunteer, I see firsthand how city policies affect families, seniors, and local organizations. I would like to contribute my time and experience to help San Ramon move toward practical, inclusive, and achievable sustainability solutions that residents can support and adopt. contribution
My strongest contribution would be bridging community needs with practical, implementable sustainability goals. Through years of civic involvement, I have developed strong listening, collaboration, and communication skills that help turn ideas into action. I am detail-oriented, solution-focused, and experienced in working with diverse stakeholders, which allows me to evaluate proposals thoughtfully and help build consensus around sustainable initiatives that are both effective and realistic for our community.

I have been an active member of the Danville San Ramon Rotary Club since 2013, contributing to a wide range of hands-on service projects that support community well-being, including helping seniors repair and maintain their homes, serving meals to people experiencing homelessness, and fundraising for local nonprofits focused on the arts, mental health, youth leadership, and student scholarships. I also completed the San Ramon Citizen 101 program,

participation which strengthened my understanding of local government operations and effective civic engagement. In addition, I actively participate in programs and events at the San Ramon Senior Center, am a member of the San Ramon Community Choir, and sing in my church choir—activities that foster connection, inclusion, and community resilience. Through these longstanding commitments, I have demonstrated a sustained dedication to service, collaboration, and strengthening the social fabric of our community.

experience
I have been a San Ramon resident since 1989 and witnessed its growth from a population of 35,000 to today's 85,000 with some dismay after the loss of our rolling hills and beautiful farmland where I used to cycle. I have provided roles as a mentor and advisor over several years 2000-2010 to San Ramon and Danville Middle and High Schools. I participated in a SRPD ride-along. I planned on attending the planning Academy or police community academy however after full retirement our travel schedule due to supporting our ailing family overseas conflicted with availability. As for a personal stance on sustainability I do "walk the talk" for a significant portion

of my working life both in the UK (London) and in California (San Ramon) I commuted to work on a bicycle. I was also an early EV adopter getting our first vehicle 2014 which had room in the back for my bicycle! I still use my bicycle regularly for grocery trips.

Project experience in global logistics, refining processes, hydrogen fuel cell technology, emerging IT solutions, IT security , Bio Fuels and communications. Primary duties include: technology development, business process improvement, project management, IT security. In the education sector, I was a member of the board of directors for USF and participated for several years as a member of the curriculum advisory board for Cal Poly 2010-2015 while employed at Chevron. I was a member of the Business in the Third Millenium Stanford Research Institute think tank group led by futurist Watts Wacker. Between 1986 and 1991 I published several technical books including the MS DOS Power User's Guide vol 2, an Introduction to Hard Disk Management and Norton Desktop for DOS.
purposegoals
I challenge the past report statements that the "San Ramon Climate Action Plan (CAP) was adopted in 2011 as the primary strategy for ensuring that the build-out of the General Plan will not conflict with the implementation of Assembly Bill 32." I believe it is time to raise awareness to also consider more of a big picture view on the impact of man-made climate change and a wide variance of theoretical outcomes often driven by commercial bias versus actual scientifically observed environmental impacts. After being an avid environmental advocate for the past 25 years I have more recently discovered an increasingly compelling counter within the scientific community that appears to be ignored or even silenced. I have become increasingly skeptical of the validity of now legacy insular GHG thinking and even state mandates. I believe additional goals for this advisory body should include a level of pragmatism, fiscal responsibility, better awareness with community involvement, transparency and simplicity. Unless I missed something significant, reading through the past reports it seemed San Ramon was more committed to "rubber stamping" state mandates at any cost than actual implementation of community involved and focused sustainability. I would much rather see impactful meaningful documents that actually can be measured in terms of success.
interest
I really believe I can ensure that my participation will provide any sustainability findings include "big-picture" reality aspects. These will be absolutely crucial to be considered with any recommendations thus not simply a producing a localized insular view.

In addition to living most of my life in San Ramon, I have a wealth of experience in a variety of disciplines. I work well in a group setting, generally non-confrontational but I do not fit the "cookie cutter" board

contribution
member profile. I also believe that it is crucial to include individuals with alternative considerations on this board. This committee's primary function is of an advisory nature, not a decision making, or simply rubber-stamping validation body. I believe this will significantly improve the voracity and value of any and all findings, recommendations and deliverables by the City of San Ramon.
participation
Participation, thought leadership, listening, communication and continual education within a community of smart open minded individuals will be a priceless experience! FYI, none of this wasted energy by being written by an AI.
